  1. Two thoughts. First, I would have greatly preferred using the original scene in the Shining which The Simpsons were parodying.

    Second, i am very upset at OR… for not helping me raise more money! Shame on her! Or him! Or it!

  20. Well, here’s that scene in the shining.

    And just think, to make that scene, someone had to type “all work and no play makes jack a dull boy.” I mean, they didn’t even have cut and paste back then. Indeed it couldn’t have just been a xerox. Someone actually had to type it out.

  22. I don’t know how long the OR account has existed (and I do not read it unless someone directs me there), but I recall the author claiming to be paid for this activity.

    Talk about a soul sucking job. I’d rather be the guy typing that page for a movie scene.

  24. Well, I had assumed the author of that account (or possibly even “authors”) is paid for it. I can even guess who the money is coming from. The role of the account seems to be internet “barker” for Breitbart Unmasked and rouser of rabble from the Occupy and Anonymous communities into assisting that effort.
