  2. Happyfeet softest hit!

    Gazzer (514478)

  3. What a shock. She can do far more good working just as she has these last 2&1/2 years. She is strong, a great motivational speaker and she can help with fund-raising.

    Colonelhaiku (a4b693)

  4. It is now time for a lot of people to get off the pot.

Another Drew - Restore the Republic / Obama Sucks! (65a0b7)

  5. Perry.
    Cain.

    pick one.

    redc1c4 (fb8750)

  6. Cain would make a fine VP. Perry will make a fine governor.

    ColonelHaiku (a4b693)

  7. …and tiffy will make a wonderful Queen of the May.

Another Drew - Restore the Republic / Obama Sucks! (65a0b7)

  8. Oh no. The chillbilly tundra tart isn’t running. Whatever will epwj have to babble about?!

    JD (68ff46)

  9. Job #1 is to get this sonuvagun Obama out of the White House!

May the best candidate win the nomination!

    ColonelHaiku (a4b693)

  10. Bummed, sticking with, ahem, the ditz for now.

Wish the three front runners had anything approaching intellectual gravitas.

    gary gulrud (d88477)

  11. for her impeccable decision-making skills (if not her alacrity) Sarah Palin is awarded one (1) 90s Dance Party!!!

    happyfeet (a55ba0)

  12. gary, the last thing we need is an “intellectual”.
That is what we were sold as part of the last package.

Another Drew - Restore the Republic / Obama Sucks! (65a0b7)

  13. gahwee is another of the self-anointed “enlightened ones”.

    Yawn.

    ColonelHaiku (a4b693)

  14. Obama is the typical “intellectual” with no common sense, a lack of self-awareness, but with a preening narcissism the likes of which are seldom seen.

    ColonelHaiku (a4b693)

  15. Okay, elevator pitch: imagine “Three’s Company” with Ms. Palin, happyfeet, and EPWJ. Cilantro all around!

And would she call the rent she charges EPWJ taxes?

    Simon Jester (c8876d)

  16. “Just desserts”

Another Drew - Restore the Republic / Obama Sucks! (65a0b7)

  17. I’m disappointed. But I guess we’ll have to make do with what we’ve got. In the absence of Daniels, Perry is a decent candidate.

    And there’s still Palin2020.

    Milhouse (ea66e3)

  18. I love how Karl “dings” the bell in Comment #1 and everyone comes running….so very Pavlovian..

It’s a relief Palin has bowed out. Because of the deck so stacked against her by the MSM and the resulting baggage, too much time would have had be to spent defending ridiculous accusations over and over again. I don’t think she would even be allowed to actually campaign without serious smearage occurring and a continual dragging through the mud. It would make it hard to support her.

With that, not only did she come to the decision regarding her own possible run, I believe she simultaneously settled on who would receive her full backing. She’s a risk taker, not known to color within the traditional lines and as Allahpundit noted, Cain would appear to be her benefactor as an outside the Beltway everyman.

    Dana (4eca6e)

  19. “And would she call the rent she charges EPWJ taxes?”

Simon – Irony. Alaska having a better overall tax climate for business in the surveys EPWJ was spamming on another thread earlier today.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  20. The most disappointed person in the country must be Tina Fey.

    JEA (76d3ad)

  21. Heh. Andrew Sullivan just won’t know what to do with himself now.

    Dana (4eca6e)

  22. oh, wrong thread. Adios Rubio also… http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1011/65277.html

    tifosa (555db2)

  23. Andrew Sullivan, Palin’s uterus called, she’s not running.

    Vivian Louise (71d894)

  24. Dana,

The “Ding!” is more like the short order cook placing the order on the counter.

    Karl (37b303)

  25. Food for thought:
What cabinet post will Sarah Palin have in a Perry Administration?
    A Cain Administration?
    A Romney Administration?

Another Drew - Restore the Republic / Obama Sucks! (65a0b7)

  26. I’m with you, Dana. And she’s making a very good living just being herself. I love how it makes the liberals and MSM (one and the same) go crazy.

EPWJ: your wish has come true. May we never hear your hogwash about Sarah ever again.

    PatAZ (c65c00)

  27. May we never hear your hogwash about Sarah ever again

What if she’s the new SecEnergy?

Another Drew - Restore the Republic / Obama Sucks! (65a0b7)

  28. Dana, I don’t mean to be crude, but I have a weird feeling that Andrew Sullivan knows very well what to do with himself when it comes to Governor Palin.

Which is what fuels his bizarre anger, perhaps.

I think that explains a number of, um, unusual responses to the woman.

    Simon Jester (c8876d)

  29. Interesting question, AD #24. I don’t think Cain or Romney would put Palin in their Cabinets.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  30. What cabinet post will Sarah Palin have in a Perry Administration?

She would have the newly formed cabinet position of Secretary of Whupass in the Romney administration.

    ColonelHaiku (a4b693)

  31. Under Perry, she would be the pretty li’l lady.

    ColonelHaiku (a4b693)

  32. AD,

Do you believe that is her goal at this point in time – to get an appointment? And do you believe it’s something she’s talked about with the particular candidate she’s going to throw her weight behind?

Whether EPA, Energy Dept, etc, it would certainly be a thorn in the side of many to see her in such a position. The wailing can already be heard.

    Dana (4eca6e)

  33. The “Ding!” is more like the short order cook placing the order on the counter.

Whether two eggs sunnyside up and a side of spuds and toast or another post, you always serve a hearty meal, Karl.

    Dana (4eca6e)

  34. she needs to move on from Fox News… it’s one of those rare deals where the association damages both their brands I think

    happyfeet (3c92a1)

  35. I have no idea what she wishes to do, and I doubt if many (or any) beyond her immediate family have any idea either; but it is interesting to speculate, and the thought of her at Energy, or Interior for that matter, would cause epwj’s head to implode – and he wouldn’t be alone.

Another Drew - Restore the Republic / Obama Sucks! (65a0b7)

  36. I would estimate that about 60 million male left-wingers just had their masturbatory fantasy jerked out from under them.

Of course, the same could be said about 60 million male right-wingers.

I never understood the fascination, but I wish her good luck. She doesn’t seem like a bad person.

    Ag80 (bae7ed)

  37. 12, 13. Sorry ladies, gravitas simply means weight, serious capability, not talking VDH, or Theodore Dalrymple, or Paul Goodman, just ability to read same without the Dictionary open.

Urkel does not satisfy the need. Not a NMS candidate, B average at Harvard Law on Affirmative Action curve yields an IQ of 120 at the outside.

In fact, just a privileged street kid, no intellectual achievement to report.

Cain will likely get my vote, just hope he picks up Bachmann’s platform with a nudge. Guy could not point out Damascus or Ankara on a map tho, let alone know a Turk from a Kurd. He just knows to steer clear of them until the MSM spanks him.

    gary gulrud (d88477)

  38. Do I have your attention?

There is one, and only one, future position calling out Sarah Palin’s name, what she has been destined for (at least for awhile)…

    wait for it…..

    WH Press Secretary…

    think about it, and smile…

(also, I think she should start doing a Tina Fey impersonation, “Do you remember when I got all those people to think Sarah Palin said she could see Russia out of her kitchen window? Boy, are the people that watch SNL gullible, I guess that’s why Miller left”.)

    MD in Philly (3d3f72)

  39. MD in Philly,

Why that is rather brilliant thinking there. I can see it now…however, who in the WH Press Corps would get the lucky front row, and would they have to be searched for rotten tomatoes before a presser???

I could see Palin having an awful lot of fun in the position, perhaps too much….

    Dana (4eca6e)

  40. That (#38) did indeed make me smile, MD in Philly.

However, earlier today over at my humble digs, I observed:

Gov. Palin is aware that Mark Begich — the former Anchorage mayor who snuck into the U.S. Senate on Obama’s coattails in 2008 — is up for reelection in 2014. If Gov. Palin wishes to become a political candidate again (as opposed to a pundit and speaker), Begich’s seat would be her next logical target.

I hope that’s what she in fact does, if — and it’s a big “if” — she still wants to pursue elected office.

    Beldar (4fa931)

  41. Dana,

I think Sarah can hold her own against the WH press corps. Probably catch the tomato without blinking an eye, finish what she was saying, then, with a, “Here, I think you dropped this” smack the person with their own projectile. Todd and her son after the army will do security.

On a tangential WH related press matter, over at Powerline (and elsewhere) they are commenting on the “essential disappearance” of the CBS reporter covering fast and furious…
“Something happening here, what it is ain’t exactly clear…”

    MD in Philly (3d3f72)

  42. Beldar, she doesn’t have to campaign for that yet. She could do a first year gig for the WH just to get things off on the right foot.

Alaska Wars II, the Return of the Palin.

    MD in Philly (3d3f72)

  43. It’s pretty clear that “Fast and Furious” is being buried to save re-election chances. The AP even had report today saying that the whole thing started with Bush. That may be true, I don’t know.

Nonetheless, the cover-up transcends the White House and our media “watch-dogs” are implicit.

The media denial of the internet is deep — and stupid.

    Ag80 (bae7ed)

  44. I think Sarah Palin would make a tremendous Senator. I say this not as a consolation prize. I really think her skillset is well suited to legislative reform and calling a foul when it needs calling.

It’s a shame she didn’t beat Murkowski personally.

    Dustin (b2fb78)

  45. also, I think she should start doing a Tina Fey impersonation

She’s been doing that for years, long before Fey ever heard of her. (Yes, I read her books.)

    Milhouse (ea66e3)

  46. The AP even had report today saying that the whole thing started with Bush. That may be true, I don’t know.

Fast And Furious began in Phoenix in 2009.

It was under the auspices of Project Gunrunner, which did begin during the Bush administration but did not involve letting weapons flow to killers with no hope of recovery.

I am not sure what other Fast and Furious style operations went on or at what time, but that one is Obama’s administration.

    Dustin (b2fb78)

  47. It’s a shame she didn’t beat Murkowski personally.

give it time…. they ever meet in an empty hallway, Murcowski will be lucky not to be the victim of a tragic “slip and fall” accident. 8)

    redc1c4 (fb8750)

  48. I said Begich snuck in on Obama’s coattails. That’s not quite right: McCain-Palin carried Alaska. Begich beat the late, controversial Ted Stephens, who was convicted on (later-dismissed) felony ethics charges a week before the election. Mea culpa, sorry if I’ve misled anyone.

    Beldar (4fa931)

  49. Beldar, the only misleading in this entire affair (Begich v. Stevens) was by the USA for AK – but I understand that several of the prosecutorial team have had to answer for professional ethics charges.

Another Drew - Restore the Republic / Obama Sucks! (65a0b7)

  50. And now EPWJ will regale us with the 101 reasons why Sarah Palin’s decision not to run is, in itself, proof positive that she shouldn’t run.

  52. Crappyfeet is the kind of guy which would leave a bag of flaming bag of feces on your doorstep and call you a media whore for not liking it.

    DohBiden (d54602)

  53. Probably so, Dustin, but when ‘truth has no currency’ as the Pikachu and the Dubai traveller
have shown, it is much harder to proceed, I think
the accumulation of unfettered lies and contempt,
capitulated by Random House’s criminal irresponsibility, you can’t blame McGuinness, as
much, ‘it’s in it’s nature’ and the attack on her
daughter, was possibly the final straw:

  54. Romney won’t be president.

    DohBiden (d54602)

  55. I thought feets thought Palin was a great lady, as long as she didn’t run for president…I’m sure I remember reading that at some point, but I’m not going to bother looking to confirm whether I’m remembering correctly or not…I have more important things to clarify if I’ve remembered correctly.

    MD in Philly (3d3f72)

  56. I think Sarah Palin would make a tremendous Senator.

My sentiments exactly. I hope at some point she decides to run for the senate. She would be a great advocate for any number of conservative causes.

    Ipso Fatso (74cbec)

  57. I think she’s fine now … I was annoyed how she savaged Mr. Governor Rick Perry for stuff what was already in evidence when she endorsed him for governor. That’s just tacky and weird, so “great lady” is stretching it… but she’s showing a lot of political savvy in choosing not to run for president. Now she just needs to build on that.

    happyfeet (a55ba0)

  58. Isn’t it funny that spying on anti-abortion groups Isn’t against the constitution but spying on Muslims is.

Don’t mean to go off topic.

  59. Palin is more of a great lady than you Satan.

    DohBiden (d54602)

    JD (cae88c)

  63. thank you Mr. JD that is true … I can’t even use my usual Obama descriptors on this blog cause of I would get filtrated

    at the very minimum

    happyfeet (a55ba0)

  64. Yeah, I have to concur, she’s better in the “Howard Dean” role given the media’s endless bashing of her.

I don’t know if she’d be a good PotUS or not, but she’ll be a hell of a lot better Jiminy Cricket.
