Karl will like that one.
You can buy that one here. It will benefit my sister’s site and mine. (California has done away with the Amazon Associates program, but my sister lives in Texas. So feel free to keep using the Amazon search box on the right.)
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
DohBiden (d54602) — 9/3/2011 @ 10:06 pmIndeed. Saw the Jayhawks play Taste of Chicago over the July 4 weekend. They played “She Walks in So Many Ways” and “Black Eyed Susan” from the upcoming LP, but not the title track.
Karl (37b303) — 9/3/2011 @ 10:10 pmI like any music except.

Patterico (d71ca1) — 9/3/2011 @ 11:39 pmI never got into the foo fighters mostly cause they didn’t even attempt to mourn for anything remotely approximating an appropriate period of time

happyfeet (3c92a1) — 9/4/2011 @ 12:31 amI know Mr. Honeycreekdipper re-joined the band a a few years ago and it sure sounds like him singing with Gary Louris (though when the drummer provided the backing vocal in the interim it was a good facsimile).
Jayhawks are playing Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco this year. Lots of great alt-country and it’s free. The Earles (Steve, wife and son all appearing separately and together I’d guess), Ryan Bingham, Restless Kelly, Flatlanders, Gillian Welch, Guy Clark, Band of Heathens and Robert Earl Keen will all be there. Throw in Robert Plant, Kris Kristofferson, Bright Eyes, Ricky Scaggs, Bob Mould and Irma Thomas and dozens of others over 3 days and 6 stages – good times, good times.
It’s not a very ‘San Franciscoy’ show by the way. Lots of folks come from the Cental Valley and nearby states. I’ve been going 10 years and only once have I gotten pissed off at yacky teenagers talking through the show.
East Bay Jay (19f566) — 9/4/2011 @ 8:06 amIndeed. Saw the Jayhawks play Taste of Chicago over the July 4 weekend.
Colonel wondering… how was cell coverage, Karl?
