PSA: Playstation’s Free Games Offer Ends on Sunday
[Guest post by Aaron Worthing; if you have tips, please send them here. Or by Twitter @AaronWorthing.]
I told you about a month ago when the Playstation Network came back online, with what I called “sorry bribes”—free downloadable games clearly offered as their way of mending fences.
Well, that offer was good for only a month… which ends Sunday. So… get yer free crap while you can.
The list of games and my opinions of them, are here.

Which ones did you get again?

Jones (727e71) — 7/2/2011 @ 7:50 amdo you have to pay California sales tax on the free games?
redc1c4 (fb8750) — 7/2/2011 @ 11:39 pmred, lol.
BTW, I’ve always had to pay sales tax (Texas) on PSN games (not the free ones).
How is Patterico going to handle Amazon’s affiliate dropout. He appears to have enough other things to worry about. It sucks that a blogger has lost some of his compensation so suddenly.
Dustin (b7410e) — 7/3/2011 @ 6:51 amIt turns out that Sony screwed this up as well. “Welcome Back” was promoted as going through July 3.
In fact, they had it expire on July 2. The wording was misleading.
A large number of people went to the PlayStation Store on July 3 to find that Welcome Back was gone. I called and lodged a complaint. ON the playstation.com community pages there’s a thread

The last few pages deal with the misleading deadline (that it was shutdown 1 day prior to the stated deadline)
