9. I think Jen Preston might even agree that the biggest question is who was trying to silence the Reids regarding Gennette Cordova.

   Of course, this is bad enough that we’re back to that ‘deny deny deny’ routine, where we are told to assume it didn’t happen at all unless we manage to prove it absolutely.

   Assume, for the sake of argument, this really wound up in Reid’s inbox. Doesn’t that explain why a true left winger would cooperate with Weiner’s PR, stay quiet, and then eventually be outraged enough to share everything they had?

10. On second thought, I’d send it back and ask for one of higher quality. I mean “This story is not worth it. I can assure you that” just doesn’t jibe with “I cannot insure your safety if you continue” ya know? I mean, it’s basically saying “There’s really nothin here. Boring stuff, really.     Exactly. Kids these days. No work ethic. Everything handed to them on a silver platter. Back in our day, if you were gonna send a death threat, it took time, work, and effort. Finding magazines and newspapers, scissors, glue, envelopes, stamps etc. It was work, but it was worth it.

    Nowadays these young whippersnappers just type a few words, hit the spellcheck button, and click ‘send’.

95. No problem Elissa. I didn’t realize that although Weiner’s resignation was supposed to be effective Tues at midnight, it actually wasn’t in effect until the letter was read on the House floor. I had coincidentally read an article this morning at Roll Call about missing paperwork etc. Sounded sketchy.

    At any rate, he’s history now. At least until he runs in the special election.

    Oh, btw, he & Huma were spotted yesterday – or was it today? shopping at a Whole Foods in DC. So much for going way for treatment.

124. About those email headers…. The sender’s public IP address ought to be revealed in the line above “X-Mailer:” but that IP is 98.138.83.201 and it belongs to yahoo.

     I’m scratching my head here. Unless Yahoo became an ISP, the sender was able to fully cloak their public IP.
