Breitbart’s Book Arrives on My Doorstep

I just got home after being out of town and was pleased to see that a shipment had arrived with:

Although we got in late, and I have work tomorrow, I had to read the first chapter of Andrew’s book. It’s hard to know how I would react to it if I didn’t know him. That’s because, as someone who has talked to Andrew for literally hours and hours, it’s impossible for me to read the book without hearing every sentence as spoken in his voice. My initial reactions: 1) it’s very well written; 2) Andrew rather throws the “New [Faux] Civility” overboard as he describes being a soldier in a war against Big Media’s plot to control the narrative in this country; and . . .

3) I have already determined my favorite page in the book — even though I haven’t gotten there yet. It’s page 155. I won’t give it away, other than to say there is a mention of some guy named Patrick Frey and his “indispensable” (!) website.

And there appears to be a rather elliptical reference there to a guy I will call only Frad Briedman.

I again encourage every Patterico reader to order Andrew’s book:

  1. Which is to say: ORDER IT NOW!!!

    Patterico (c218bd)

  2. Who is Frad Briedman? Such a Galtian question. 🙂

    Demosthenes (ca616f)

  3. Opposition to the left’s corruption and lies is no doubt homophobic right leftys?

    DohBiden (984d23)

  4. I wish it was printed on softer paper; my bum hurts from wiping.

    Shelly Mann (e9ef3a)

  5. @Mann
I’v already got your money, asswipe.

    Andrew

    Andrew Breitbart (29abd1)

  6. “my bum hurts from wiping.”

You have to remove the gift wrapping, take it out of the box, pull off a sheet, then wipe.

    God, lefties are slow.

    Dave Surls (b31cd3)

  7. “Breitbart’s Book Arrives on My Doorstep”

Rest easy. Bag it, trash it, then hose down the walkway. Double check the soles of your shoes.

    DCSCA (9d1bb3)

  8. He said Breitbart’s book, not Obama’s…

    Scott Jacobs (d027b8)

  9. Oh Goody. More bawling from Breitbart about how terrible it is that the people who disagree with him are smart enough, ambitious enough and successful enough to keep his small-minded white identity politics out of the media they built. The goofball right has long been in awe of its own media victimhood, but Breitbart brings a special shallowness to it in that he insists on wrapping the package on the most ham-handed narcissism this side of Rush Limbaugh…

    Big Median (2b1825)

  10. anyone “cowed” here?
One of Breitbart’s boo hoo poor-us complaints is that dissent against Obama has been “cowed” because the president is black.
Never met a single conservative individual or commentator who claimed to be “cowed.” I think the record on this blog shows in spades that there was no such cowing going on before, during or after Obama’s sweep of moderate voters in 2008.
Instead, the evidence — especially in places like this blog — shows that Obama’s race has emboldened his critics to raise unimaginably ludicrous assertions about his past and the sloppiest, sleaziest guilt-by-association ever attempted against a president.
Suddenly, for these critics, a sitting president’s policies and positions are just not the primary cause for concern. Rather, it’s his “legitimacy,” even though he won the election handily and by margins supported across the board in a range of opinion polls, whose results aligned very closely with those of the vote itself.
Breitbart and his ilk are the ones who’ve sought to use Obama’s race to score political points, not liberals and certainly not the president himself.

    Big Median (2b1825)

  11. Read his book you moron, he illustrates how, after the election, with the rise of the Tea Party, that
has been their only card to play

    narciso (8a8b93)

  12. Did Eric Boehlert link this or something? Where are all these cretins coming from?

    Patterico (c218bd)

  13. Well, Patterico, that odd person DCSCA chimed in. So it isn’t just Sorosian soldiers. You get the regular Nuttier Than Squirrel Poop folk, too.

Anyway, it’s interesting to see how AB stirs up these people, huh?

    Simon Jester (2707d6)

  14. Wow, the left power structure must really be scared of Breitbart and all the rocks he is turning over. You can always tell what is making them super nervous when Media Matters lathers up and sends out the lefty sheep to comment on blogs. They’re certainly making an extra effort this morning. Too bad they look so obvious and stupid. Breitbart rocks!!!

    elissa (e1a204)

  15. Yeah, but it’s the killbots, in Futurama, they are quite expendable

    narciso (8a8b93)

  16. Big median and IMP and Shelley are all out to prove that they are dummerer and more dishonest than a sack of kmarts.

    JD (318f81)

  17. That’s an exponential scale, JD, like Richter or the milisieverts

    narciso (8a8b93)

  18. Patterico must be doing something right to warrant his own leftard truth squad groupies. Maybe someone will let us know what those websites of deep wisdom like HuffPo, DU, Kos and Little green footballs think of Patterico. Oh, I already am aware of what Chuckles thinks. I hope Shelley bought his Breitbart book from Amazon via Patterico.

    Calypso Louie Farrakhan (f84281)

  19. So Big Median shows up to accuse Breitbart of being a racist while at the same time claiming that the left does not accuse people of racism.

    Have Blue (854a6e)

  20. “Breitbart and his ilk are the ones who’ve sought to use Obama’s race to score political points…”

Obambi’s race is definitely an issue.

While, it’s true that he’s a member of the human race, he also belongs to the subspecies Democratus Ignoramus…and they don’t make good political leaders.

As a matter of fact, they don’t make good janitors either, but you have to give them some kind of work.

    Dave Surls (b5d06c)

  21. You gotta admit, it’s impressive political judo to bring race into by decrying how someone else is somehow secretly relying on race.

My guess is that Breitbart is willing to take so much of this hatred because he knows it will help give him more of a platform. I know the left tries their hardest to deny him one, and sometimes they win the battles (ABC, Huffpo), but somehow it seems Breitbart’s sites are gaining more audience. Or maybe I give him too much credit, and he’s just telling the truth, posting videos, and not running away when bashed by liars.

    Dustin (c16eca)

  22. Isn’t Scott Ritter one of Frad Briedman’s old buddies from the anti-war movement, or am I confusing him with another loon over at HuffPo who loved child diddlers?

    “April 14, 2011

Former U.N. chief weapons inspector Scott Ritter has been found guilty of unlawful contact with a minor and all but one lesser charge after a three-day trial in Monroe County Court on charges stemming from an online sex sting. He was acquitted on a criminal attempt charge.

Ritter, 49, of Delmar, N.Y., was found guilty of unlawful contact with a minor for masturbating on a Web camera and engaging in a sexually graphic online chat with an undercover Barrett Township police officer posing as a 15-year-old girl in 2009.”

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  23. ugh, daley. ugh. That’s not even the first time he’s been caught, and he still blames a conspiracy to oppress him. You gotta wonder how many kids he raped when abroad (in regimes full of Uday Husseins).

You gotta wonder if this was used to force his political shilling for Saddam.

    Dustin (c16eca)

  24. I think there was a guy with a name like Jeff Norman who was a big fan of Ritter’s as I recall.

    Patterico (aae7b6)

  25. You gotta love how proudly patterico regulars wear their paranoia on their sleeve. Hilariously, unwittingly, they whip out the “the fact that it makes liberals mad proves it’s true/effective” every time one of their entertainers like Breitbart get caught red-handed assaulting reason or fact.

Wingnut: The liberal media controls your brain.

Voter: I don’t think so. I’m perfectly capable of detecting bias whenever and wherever I read or hear it. And the internet’s packed with original information sources and interpretations of every imaginable stripe.

Wingnut: That just proves how brainwashed you are. Anyone who disagrees with me must be brainwashed.

Voter: Sod off. You have no evidence I’m brainwashed or controlled by anyone or anything.

Wingnut: See. You’re only angry because you know I’m right.

Voter: Interesting. You say I’m brainwashed by liberals, but I know you’re right. You sound confused.

Wingnut: I suppose now you’re going to call me a racist to try and shut me up, because that’s always what liberals do.
As a result, I’m “cowed” and afraid to pipe up with my ideology at dinner parties because all the cool people will dismiss me a racist moron.

Voter: Why do you care what the cool people think?

Wingnut: I don’t, they are racist morons.

    Voter: Have a nice day.

  26. The delusional ones are so CUTE.

    JD (3ad5b9)

  27. “The delusional ones are so CUTE.”

Kinda like itsy, bitsy, baby maggots.

    Dave Surls (baf401)

  28. Big Median, it is easier to win arguments when you create a strawman, so I do see that a lot. However, I don’t usually see someone construct their opponent and then go on and on in a boring and stupid attempt to prove how stupid your own creation is.

    Bravo?

    Dustin (c16eca)

  29. The strawman is the notion that somehow loud-mouthed wingnuts like Breitbart are “cowed” or afraid to brandish their white identity politics at any and every opportunity.
The strawman is that Obama supporters label all criticism as racist.
The strawman is that liberals can’t endure disagreement.

    Big Median (2f532a)

  30. All in all, it’s a very interesting tail, Breitbart came from a Republican background, but he lived in Hollywood, worked with Arianna, back when she was
in transition, was really cowed out of openly expressing conservative politics, till the later part of the aughts,

    narciso (8a8b93)

  31. Patterico @24 – You are correct. Jeff Norman was the loon I recalled.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  32. ‘anyone “cowed” here?’

Yeah, I am. I’m usually afraid that people will disapprove of me if I say anything disagreeable, so I keep my opinons to myself.

The idea that a liberal might call me a racist sets me to trembling, and at times I even experience palpitations from worrying about it.

    Dave Surls (baf401)

  33. “The strawman is that liberals can’t endure disagreement.”

Big Median – That’s not a strawman. You’re proving it by creating strawmen on this blog to avoid a real discussion.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  34. OTOH, SOMEBODY has to point out that Obambi is a lowlife, thieving, America-hating, lying, socialist skankbag, and that liberals, like Big Median, are one step below dog puke on the evolutionary ladder, so I guess I might as well be the one to do it.

    Dave Surls (baf401)

  35. Big median is a bigoted racist. Objectively.

    JD (318f81)

  36. “Former U.N. chief weapons inspector Scott Ritter has been found guilty of unlawful contact with a minor…”

Hey, maybe he can share a cell with ultra-lefty San Francisco radio show talk jock, Bernie Ward, currently doing time in Lompoc on a child pornography beef.

They could pass the time sharing their ideas about the evils of the Iraq War…and the joys of kiddie-humping.

    Dave Surls (baf401)

  37. I suppose JD and Surly deserve some credit for choosing banality over paranoia. Apparently, they’re at least aware of their limitations.

    Big Median (2f532a)

  38. Daleyrocks: you got something to discuss? Bring It On!

    Big Median (2f532a)

  39. These leftists are just so CUTE.

    JD (318f81)

  40. “Daleyrocks: you got something to discuss? Bring It On!”

Big Median – I already made my point. You’re obviously running on empty. Why are you here?

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  41. Instead, the evidence — especially in places like this blog — shows that Obama’s race has emboldened his critics to raise unimaginably ludicrous assertions about his past and the sloppiest, sleaziest guilt-by-association ever attempted against a president.

Breitbart and his ilk are the ones who’ve sought to use Obama’s race to score political points, not liberals and certainly not the president himself.

Big median woul dnever inject race into the discussion. Never. Except when he does. Repeatedly. You are not even a graceful mendoucheous twatwaffle.

    JD (318f81)

  42. It is always rich when a leftist whines about legitimacy when they went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about Bush.

    JD (318f81)

  43. “I suppose JD and Surly deserve some credit for choosing banality…”

That’s rich coming from some drooling leftoid who’s vocabulary consists of a handful of adjectives, and verbs, plus the nouns “wingnut” and “strawman”.

    Dave Surls (baf401)

  44. “These leftists are just so CUTE.”

Kinda like a cuddly batch of freshly hatched plague bacilli.

    Dave Surls (baf401)

  45. Instead, the evidence — especially in places like this blog — shows that Obama’s race has emboldened his critics to raise unimaginably ludicrous assertions about his past and the sloppiest, sleaziest guilt-by-association ever attempted against a president.

This is either an unsupported assertion. Or a lie. I am leaning towards lie.

    JD (318f81)

  46. “Big Median…Why are you here?”

    I needed a punching bag.

    Dave Surls (baf401)

Studying this info So i am happy to show that I’ve an incredibly excellent uncanny feeling I found out exactly what I needed. I most without a doubt will make certain to don’t forget this web site and give it a glance a continuing.
