  1. not, fake but accurate. they really did put that address up.

    i would say “accidentally accurate.”

  3. In lapsis digitorum vine veratis.

That’s my schoolboy Latin for “in a slip of the finger comes the truth.” I hope I got that right; it’s been quite a while.

  4. Ha! This should be the first example everywhere the term Freudian Slip is defined.

    DRJ (fdd243)

  5. btw, the correct phrase is “kinsley gaffe.”

    Aaron Worthing (e7d72e)

  6. Fake but accurate.

I expect chuckles to rush to their defense like he did with Daniel Rather.

  7. Well, my thanks for their truth in journalism.

    Dana (9f3823)

  8. I suppose this means there is no doubt about their bias.

    PatAZ (d09837)

  9. Now this is interesting.
It seems the Obamas bought their Chicago house at 5046 S Greenwood Ave for $1,650,000, but the current Zestimate on zillow.com is $740,500.

Can you say … “under water” ? … just like the country

  10. “L.A. Times Tells the Truth!”

Definite proof of an all powerful being who can perform miracles.

  11. Media enabling begins early this cycle, not that it ever stopped.

  12. zillow actually says that property is valued at 1,322,500. It has 6 baffrooms, which is many for a small Kenyan family to have. I’m not judging it’s just per capita that’s 1.5 baffrooms for each Obama person and 1.2 if you count grandma.

  13. Do Duh Math, hf. Still under water.

    Doh!

    Andy (b63f79)

  14. yes Mr. Andy but I don’t think that number includes the security upgrades and the former-president-lived-there premium

    happyfeet (a55ba0)

  15. CBS 2 also spoke the truth and called NY a nanny state.

    DohBiden (984d23)

  16. the ACLU did too which is rare.

    DohBiden (984d23)

  17. Mr. Feets – They gots a lot of Obama traynors and tchefs in that house too, member.

    daleyrocks (9b57b3)

  18. Yes and the white house staff is between a barack and a hard place……>_> that was lame.

    DohBiden (984d23)

  19. it takes a village

    happyfeet (a55ba0)

  20. It takes a village.

Is that a subtle jab at Baracky being born in kenya?……….Gasp you racist

  21. happy and daley–BO the dog has never lived at the Greenwood address. Will he rebel? Will he consider it a big step down from the White House grounds when he is forced to accompany his family back there and do his poopies in Chicago after January 2013? It’s somehing to think about, isn’t it?

    elissa (8a5611)

  22. elissa – The BO dog can enjoy itself some delicious Lake Michigan sammins when it returns to live in Chicago. What a treat!!!!!

    daleyrocks (9b57b3)

  23. Or some tasty alewives.

    daleyrocks (9b57b3)

  24. The dog has his own agenda.

  25. I bet they correct without published Ed. notes. That happens ALL the time now at LAT-sloppy tripe. I never (almost never- read LAT) anymore. Their blatant subjectivity is galling.

The Chandlers would be apoplectic. Say what you will about Politico; they published an article today about GOP/Tea Party. The author made a factual error and corrected it with Ed notes!

Editorial standards at LAT are flaky; (in this case- hilarious).

    dudeabides (7b2c6d)

  26. It’s somehing to think about, isn’t it?

Isn’t the democrat precedent to assign the pet to a staffer, anyway? BO was a carefully scripted publicity effort, rather than a family pet.

    Dustin (c16eca)

  27. Yikes folks: St. Andi of the Sweaty Glutes appears to like Rand Paul’s budget proposals. (Found this literally minutes after denouncing AS in a recent FP thread by Tim Cavanaugh.)

If Rand just adds in $20 billion to investigate Sarah Palin’s uterus, I’d bet Andi would be completely sold. 🙂

    qdpsteve (f1c59f)

  28. ==Isn’t the democrat precedent to assign the pet to a staffer, anyway==

Excellent point. The Reagans and both Bushes obviously loved their many pets and considered them to be family members. It does often appear that BO is more of a theater prop. I really hope that’s not the case, though, and that the Obama girls do love the dog dearly and vice versa.

Speaking of dogs, I saw over at Hotair that the Japanese dog which was rescued out at sea amidst tsunami refuse has been joyfully reunited with its owner. Nice.

    elissa (8a5611)

  29. Just a point of clarification, qdpsteve: Excitable Andy actually praised the Paul Ryan budget outline, not one from Rand Paul. Andy lives in that DC elite cocoon where one can only have dismissive contempt for the likes of Rand Paul.

    JVW (615582)

  30. Oops JVW: thanks for the clarification.

    qdpsteve (f1c59f)

  31. He still wants another gas tax, and higher taxes on the rich, but it’s more sensible than most reactions

    narciso (b545d5)

  32. Will he consider it a big step down from the White House grounds when he is forced to accompany his family back there and do his poopies in Chicago after January 2013?

What makes you think he will? Socks didn’t go to Chappaqua with Bubba and Lady Macbeth; once he was no longer useful to their image, he was fobbed off on a servant.

    Milhouse (ea66e3)

  33. HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!….*cough* OH, $H!T!!! HAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!

    TimesDisliker (77b401)

  34. Well, Obama has made an art of the bleeding of red ink, and the LA Times is almost as skilled. So the two are ideal for each other.

Following in the footsteps of — and getting inspiration from — the Penny Saver will be the LA newspaper’s salvation.

    Mark (411533)

  35. Remarkable how often that truth-telling is by accident, isn’t it?
