Mullah Omar Captured???
So says Brad Thor at Big Government. I read it three times to see if he was kidding. Doesn’t look like it.
Allah comes with the skepticism, which I assume will be treated by Glenn Greenwald in two days as naive repetition of the story.
Twenty-four hour rule; maybe 48 or even 96 in a case like this.
htom (412a17) — 5/10/2010 @ 7:11 pmThe loons are out in force over there at Big Government. If Pakistan captured Omar, Obama gets no credit.
daleyrocks (1d0d98) — 5/10/2010 @ 8:07 pmhtom agreed.
But if its true, they shouldn’t have broken the news until the government was ready to share. that guy might have had alot of useful intelligence that is now degraded.
A.W. (f97997) — 5/10/2010 @ 11:12 pmYeah. Right. What’s this, 10th, 12th time we’ve heard something along these lines?
JEA (cfcb76) — 5/11/2010 @ 4:17 amI find it hard to believe, in this day and age, that such a big thing could be kept quiet for this long (5 or 6 weeks!?!). Although, if our intelligence agents haven’t had anything to do with it, then maybe it’s possible.
Corwin (ea9428) — 5/11/2010 @ 5:45 amNo idea why Big Government would suddenly go all stupid and expose themselves to Progressive Liberal attack by posting a story that is so unprovable.
Metallica (bb58d8) — 5/11/2010 @ 7:24 amIf it is true, it is probably being kept on the low-down because the Pakistan government has not agreed to turn Omar over to the U.S. Turning a religious figure over to the US would be very controversial in Pakistan. On the other hand, a refusal to turn Omar over to the U.S. by the Pakistan government would be extremely controversial here and would endanger whatever relationship the two governments have.
