Arne Duncan manipulated [Chicago] school lists to favor powerful:

“Chicago Breaking News reported late last night that former Chicago schools chief and current Secretary of Education Arne Duncan manipulated a system to favor powerful political allies by placing their children in the schools of their choice.”

How can we get D.C.’s public schoolchildren on his “choice” list?

  1. It’s a heck of a lot easier to make a list of the non-criminals he’s appointed than a list of criminals. Criminals outnumber non-criminals by 5,000+ to one.

They’ve already been ordered to the back of the bus in relation to their futures.

  3. (Presuming that the above item is factual…)

Meanwhile, last spring, Arne Duncan refused to publicly reveal a study showing that 1,700 District of Columbia students enrolled in a voucher program did much better than public school students in the chronically dysfunctional D.C. district.

That is, he didn’t reveal the study until funding for the vouchers was killed by Dems in Congress beholden to the educrat unions.

What was that punk poet/pseudointellectual Henry Rollins said when bashing the Texas textbook process? ‘What kind of a leader would want citizens who can’t think critically?’

    We’re lookin’ at ‘im.

  4. When I think of Rollins, my mind wanders off into wondering who administers his medications, and how.
    Maybe with a dart?

That and Rollins is from DC and went to private school.

    Funny stuff, Steve G!

  6. I don’t understand why we are still surprised when another form of corruption in Chicago is exposed. They seem to have cornered the market. This is becoming the prescribed norm.

Re Henry Rollins…not someone I was, or really am familiar with, but last year I randomly stumbled upon an interesting essay by him. He’s not without some thought and observation. (Heh. I just googled it and found it at a rather peculiar site…)

  7. Dana – The only surprise about this is that people would be surprised about this.

  11. You people are so gullible.

Everyone knows that by the time he left Chicago, Obama had turned the city into a Shangri-La where all children were above average, corruption and crime were eliminated by his hard work in the neighborhoods, sickness and pain were eliminated courtesy of the hard work of Michelle at the hospital she worked that paid her and everyone sang Kumbaya around campfires Obama organized every night.

Were none of you paying attention during the campaign in 2008? It was in every newspaper and mentioned every night on MSNBC, CNN, CBS, NBC and ABC.

Duncan is now in the Obama administration which means he is eligible for sainthood – or at least a Nobel Peace Prize.
