It’s good to know that even in times of natural disaster, those vaunted, ever-alert editors we’re always being lectured about are on duty at the Times. See headline in below screen shot.

  20. I predict some supervising editor somewhere is going to go bel//// balliz//// balist/// all crazy over this.

  21. The LA Times editors don’t care about such trifling errors. It’s only the Internet, and Real JournalistsĀ® know only print can be trusted.

    Bradley J. Fikes, C. O.R. (a18ddc)

  22. Still there at 9:15 PM PST, too.

    DRJ (84a0c3)

  23. Whatever word processing and page layout software the Times is using, they need to update their automatic spell-check program (spell-check does make editors lazy, because you won’t get the red line below an incorrect word if you transpose or type in incorrect letters that create another word, but I’m pretty sure mudlside hasn’t become part of the American English lexicon as of yet).

    John (d4490d)

  24. The LAT needs to update their reporters and editors. And “mudlside” is still there!
