Yahoo’s video this evening is a Purina “Animal All Stars” puppy responding to his master’s whistle:
I like this puppy. I also like the way it makes my dogs howl, too — especially since they’re responding to the puppy and not the whistle.
Simple pleasures are the best.

Just for fun, a terrific short story about a dog – and loyalty. Money quote:

My dog (a mini-Schnauzer) came down to the family room to check it out, but he didn’t bark or anything. He doesn’t react to TV or PC. But he’ll go crazy if someone plays scales or arpeggios on the piano. I believe it has something to do with the harmonics. Certain songs will make him sing.
He also sings sometimes when other people are singing, but I assure you it’s not a criticism of the quality. We enjoy some great times around the piano with some talented singers (not including myself).
