Sarah Palin: Obama Should Boycott Copenhagen

[Guest post by DRJ]

I’d rank the chances of Obama boycotting Copenhagen as less likely than a snowball’s chance in hell, but that isn’t stopping Sarah Palin:

Sarah Palin on Facebook: “Mr. President: Boycott Copenhagen; Investigate Your Climate Change “Experts”

Sarah Palin has a knack for making people talk about her and what she wants to talk about.

  1. Palin is really uniquely able to get people talking about her, firstly, and then whatever issue she wants to discuss. In this post, it’s great to see her thrown down a put-your-money-where-your-mouth-is challenge to Obama,

In his inaugural address, President Obama declared his intention to “restore science to its rightful place.” Boycotting Copenhagen while this scandal is thoroughly investigated would send a strong message that the United States government will not be a party to fraudulent scientific practices. Saying no to Copenhagen and cap and tax are first steps in “restoring science to its rightful place.”

  2. This certainly is one way to try to provoke the MSM into covering it.

Though, if they see the writing on the wall, they may still try to ignore it and hope it will go away.

  3. I would just ask that we not agree to anything that does not equally apply to every single country on the planet.

  4. She’s doing the right thing, and that is what she needs to continue doing. In 2012 she can say, “I told him not to go, and look what resulted from it!”

  5. This is just further proof that Palin is one of those new earth creationist anti-science godfreaks.

  6. I think he will go, and he will look even more foolish because everybody else kinda sorta was too busy…now that those pesky emails are out.

  7. Did I hear that even algore isn’t going?

    JD (4a5c67)

  8. Yes, JD, we have no Algore at Copenhagen causes lip cancer.

  9. JD, he chickened backed out. No explanation given. $1,200 for VIP tix, too… including photo op and snacks.

  11. Fat Bore cancelled his solo gig at Nopenchangen, but he may be there for other activities or sessions is what I understand. It seems unclear.

  12. JD – How could Palin believe in this global warmening nonsense if she thinks the earth is only 6,000 years old?

    daleyrocks (718861)

  13. Does Palin believe the earth is 6k years old?

I hadn’t seen that, except on the kinds of places that think W committed 9/11 and all that.

Is there a real quote on that?

  14. For the record, I think anyone who thinks the Earth is 100k+ years old has bought into the lie. And so do millions of other Christians. Just to set the record straight here.

  15. That “earth age” thing is a tangent so I won’t further belabor that point here, but it caused me to write a brief article of my own. I would love for people to consider that article. I would be especially interested in EB’s input.

  16. I love Palin.

  17. Who but Palin is going to get these arguments out in front of the public? The MSM can’t bury her statements or ignore them because she has too large a public profile. Most Americans have never heard of Boehner or Cantor or McConnell, and the MSM is only too happy to marginalize them. BTW, Palin’s parents were school teachers. She doesn’t think the earth is 6,000 years old and she doesn’t think Africa is a country. Those are leftist smears circulated to persuade public perception that Palin is stupid. She also knows there are 50 states, and Austrians don’t speak Austrian.

  18. I know I have said this before, but I will say it again and again and again:

I hope that Sarah Palin never goes away. No woman since Eleanor Roosevelt has done more for progressive politics in this country than she. Don’cha just love her? I sure do!

  19. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs just released a statement saying that President Obama will now visit Copenhagen on December 18th, not on December 9th as originally planned.

Palin shoots on Obama and scores again. In your facebook, Barry!

Carville’s Democracy Corps poll says that self-identified “conservatives” now comprise 45% of the electorate. Up 5% since Obama’s inauguration; up 7 since the election. The gains seem to come right out of the “moderate” group.

Yeah, Tom Degan, Palin is really playing into The Progressive Trap. Too bad she’s too dumb to realize how much she’s helping “Progressives”.

  22. Yes, Austrians don’t speak Austrian, but Australians do speak Australian (“Foster’s means beer”), and they also voted down a cap and tax the other day.

Not having looked at John H.’s article yet, but Palin never said she was a new earth literalist creation proponent, but she was quoted at a church gathering as saying something that sounded like she was endorsing it.- As far as I remember.

JD – At least we haven’t had a visit from that nimrod from 24Aheaddotcom pimping his blog and telling everyone what they are doing wrong for a while.

  24. Dustin – My 6,000 year comment was not serious. I was riffing off JD’s god freak stuff.

You’re absolutely correct, JD. And thanks so much for calling attention to it.
