Fun With Obama

President Obama loves to blame President Bush and Republicans for every problem, including this example from a recent San Francisco fundraiser:
“Even in the midst of a difficult and taxing health care fight, the president hasn’t lost his sense of humor–especially when making fun of his opponents. Last night at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in San Francisco, the president offered an analogy for opponents of Demcoratic [sic] reforms: when I’m cleaning up your mess, don’t tell me how to hold the mop…and don’t tell me the mop is socialist.”
Jay Leno saw the humor, too, although from a slightly different perspective:

Like Barry ever held a mop in his life. He is at his most despicable, in my view, when he turns on the faux-folksy charm, and liberally (how else) sprinkles the conversation with “y’alls”.

Beyond that, beyond the already documented “goddamn America” POV of Jeremiah Wright, I didn’t realize he — the former close spiritual advisor of the guy now in the White House — believed that Jesus Christ was a black man fighting against the oppressive white Italians (ie, Romans).
There’s a saying that you can judge the character of a person by the friends he keeps. When it came to Obama, Wright to me was the ultimate, the hugest, canary in the coal mine imaginable. But enough American voters apparently wanted to goddamn themselves, and so now we’re goddamned.

Or anywhere else, for that matter – Obama has never been, or will ever be, considered a real Chicagoan, no matter your political preference. He was cloistered the entire time he lived here, and the guy probably couldn’t even do a passable Dennis Franz “Nortwest Side” accent to save his life.

I have noticed a distinct lack of jokes on lefty sites. They thought they were making jokes about Bush and Cheney and Palin but those were weird little “jokes” of the sort you hear from the slightly Asbergy guy who never gets the real joke. He usually asks, “Get it?” when he finishes. That’s how you know he’s gotten to the end.
hells bells, humor is a complicated subject and I doubt you would understand.
