Hot Air posted this video on Obama’s Endless Campaign but it’s worth a second look:

  1. So? Why is it Obama’s fault if his teleprompter hasn’t been updated?

  2. This is one sick dude!

  3. ‘fired up! ready to go!’

    Go where?

    ‘Hope and Change!’

    Hope for what?

It’s a serious job, but it was easier to get votes with unserious superficial slogans. By the time you try to explain something with depth, such as ‘which Bush Doctrine are you referring to?’ the MTV press has decided you’re too boring to be president.

  4. This is not overexposed, this is downright saturation. A nice immigrant store owner that I frequent put it best…..”I have been here for 4 years looking for a better life. For 3 1/2 years, I ran my business and no one bothered me, but, in the last 9 months all is see on TV is Obama talking like the leader I escaped.” Where is he from? Pakistan.

  5. “This is one sick dude!”

I do honestly believe that he suffers from multiple substantial psychiatric disorders.

  6. Supersaturated. When something comes along to upset his steady state, watch out! (The Diet Coke + mint Mentos thing is the addition of nucleating sites to a supersaturated solution of carbon dioxide gas in Diet Coke.)

  7. To quote an old hymn:
My hope is built on nothing less
    Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness

    Oh, and keep the change.

It’s hard to not let those canned responses go, isn’t it Big O?

  10. Well … David Axelrod is holding his leash and feeding him his lines and Axelrod is a campaign manager after all ….

  11. you first have to possess and then develop leadership skills in order to be ready to lead.

one of those skills is integrity, so Ear Leader, despite having honed his cult of personality for years, will never be a real leader.

he is destined to remain the head lemming in a stampede of stupidity.

    redc1c4 (fb8750)

  12. Ready to lead?

He thinks he is. I doubt he’ll ever be.

Reminds me of the old Russian joke:

Comrades! We are at the edge of the abyss, but have no fear, I will lead us forward!

    Dr. K (be5741)

  13. It’s frightening how insubstantial.

  14. But wanted to get this out there.

  15. “From the new Times/CBS poll out this evening …

“Would you favor or oppose the government offering everyone a government administered health insurance plan — something like the Medicare coverage that people 65 and older get — that would compete with private health insurance plans?”

    Favor 65%
    Oppose 26%

    bored again (d80b5a)

  16. Be it hereby enacted,

There shall be a government administered health insurance plan — something like the Medicare coverage that people 65 and older get — that would compete with private health insurance plans.

Sounds like a law the President should sign.

And bored again, you really need to learn to stop bending over in front of Andrew Sullivan (so you won’t be bored again).

    nk (df76d4)

  17. “bored again” NOTE … that poll question asked NOTHING ABOUT MANDATES! NOTHING ABOUT COST-BENDING MEDICARE! NOTHING ABOUT TAXING BUSINESSES OR FORCING PEOPLE INTO “EXCHANGE” PLANS! NOTHING ABOUT $900 BILLION IN EXTRA SPENDING IN TEN YEARS!

  18. The contrast between Obama’s vapid UN speech and Netanyahu’s blunt, no nonsense UN speech show just how much of a non-leader Obama is.

    SPQR (26be8b)

  19. SPQR, you are so right. I just finished reading Netanyahu’s speech and in contrast to his, President Obama sadly seemed to be first and foremost about himself, and secondly about making nice. I am waiting to hear him make a solid, unwavering stand before the world…in support of America, and of it’s exceptionalism, or even simply a non-hesitant praise for moral clarity, as Netanyahu did:

“To those who boycotted Ahmadinejad’s speech, or left in protest, Netanyahu said, “I commend you, you stood up for moral clarity.

“But for those who stayed – I say on behalf of the Jewish people, my people and decent people everywhere – have you no shame? No decency? What a disgrace, what a mockery of the charter of the UN,” he declared.

    Dana (863a65)

  20. Dana, isn’t it an astonishing contrast? Superficial, vapid, puffed-up self-righteous twaddle – that’s all Obama had. Netanyahu just nailed it.

He might be ready to lead a marching band or something like that.

If it cost 150% of what people are currently paying and was mandatory, what would the answer look like do you think?

    daleyrocks (718861)

  24. Ready to lead? He’s ready for deification! (YouTube link of singing schoolchildren)

    Mm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
    Equal work means equal pay
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight

    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

  25. Here’s another link for Bradley’s last comment about the deification of Barack Obama.

  26. Thanks, DRJ,

Funny how I, an atheist, independently noted the same worship creepiness that religious conservative people noticed. We both know a false god when we see one! 🙂

  27. Spam cleanup on #27, please!

    [Got it BroBrad. Thanks. –Stashiu]

  28. #26: it’s not surprising at all, since atheism is just another religion…

  29. redc1c4,
Or you monotheists are almost atheists 🙂

  30. Although badboy dumps cc made several good points, often displayed at Kos, I hope that I can opine in a simpler manner. Like that will happen:

I know that President Obama is a great orator. He has the ability to make people believe in him and his message.

However, he does it in a way that is very familiar to me as a good ol’ southern boy steeped in evangelistic traditions.

And something about that nags me in a way so that I can’t quite figure out what’s wrong with it.

This is really not a great example, but it kind of gets to what I’m trying to express:

Billy Graham was a great orator for fundamental Christianity. So was Jim Bakker.

But as you watched them, you could tell the difference between the two.

I’m not here to argue the pros or cons of fundamentalist Christianity, because, I’m certainly not a fundamentalist and I’m barely a Christian, according to my wife.

I think my point is sincerity. The President walks the walk and talks the talk. But something doesn’t seem quite right.

I guess I listened to Bibi Netanyahu today and wished that our President was a bit more like him.

  31. Oh Geez, looks like Obama’s Gitmo closing is going to be delayed. The Bushies left the files in disarray or something. Heh.

Who could have seen this one coming?

  33. Obama can’t even lead himself to follow his own policies.

The Most Incompetent Administration In History.

Worse than Carter, worse than Clinton.

    SPQR (26be8b)

  34. “Even before the inauguration, President Obama’s top advisers settled on a course of action they were counseled against: announcing that they would close the facility within one year. Today, officials are acknowledging that they will be hard-pressed to meet that goal.”

Can’t even manage to get that done, even though they were talking about it for years before the New Messiah was inaugurated…but, they will be able to manage health care for tens of millions of people.

    Hardy har har.

    Dave Surls (84e227)

  35. Someone should ask Obama how that nuclear weapon reduction thing is working out in light of the news that Iran has several nuclear sites up and running. He just got played by someone who thinks an an eight century inman is living in a well somewhere but denies that the holocaust took place.

    Rochf (ae9c58)

  36. Iran will become a nuclear power during Obama’s administration. And it will largely be because of the ineptness of Obama, as well as the Democrats undermining of the Bush foreign policy.
