i fully support the administration’s media plan….
but then again, i want them, and Ear Leader himself, to fail: miserably, totally and publicly, so i might not be the best judge of it. %-)
redc1c4 (fb8750) — 9/19/2009 @ 11:23 pmTotally agree. As Dennis Miller famously said of Barry, “I worry less about the color of his skin, and more about the thinness of it…” Or something like that. People like Barry have only ever lived in self-approbating echo chambers that have never experienced dissent. The folks that surround him have a vested interest in keeping him in the bubble. That is why he will ultimately fail. Think Elvis, Sonny and Red and the rest of the Memphis Mafia. The sycophants will do you in every time.
Gazzer (22ecdc) — 9/20/2009 @ 1:24 amNot surprisingly, the Obama Administration is made up of people just like their core supporters: arrogant self-centered pseudo-intellectual slackers.
Mike LaRoche (e711ed) — 9/20/2009 @ 3:07 amThese guys must be defeated in upcoming elections.
krusher (836674) — 9/20/2009 @ 4:25 amKudos to Chris Wallace for the honesty. Will being shamed into maturity work? Prolly not. In the meantime, trom the comment section at HA:
no one you know (1ebbb1) — 9/20/2009 @ 4:38 amLOL
Now the dog whistlers will come running to scream about Wallace being a Rethuglican and right – wing Fox stooge, and never mind about his many years at NBC as a straight – line reporter and son of uber – Lib Mike Wallace.
Not surprisingly, the Obama Administration is made up of people just like their core supporters: arrogant self-centered pseudo-intellectual slackers.
I was going to add “…and bunch of hipster doofuses,” but never mind.
Dmac (a93b13) — 9/20/2009 @ 6:44 amI think Elaine would agree with you. I know that I do.
Old Coot (83c1d1) — 9/20/2009 @ 7:15 amObama got himself booked on all the networks this morning but Fox. Maybe serious questions are not on his agenda.
Mike K (2cf494) — 9/20/2009 @ 7:32 amMike K – Did Barcky really say that he was not aware of how much money ACORN gets, and how he had really not been paying attention to this?
JD (59882e) — 9/20/2009 @ 7:42 amThese people have no discernible relationship with the truth. It is all spin. Unfortunately, this has a lot to do with how the country is run these days. Bertha Lewis is on Fox and is a BS artist of the first water.
MIke K (2cf494) — 9/20/2009 @ 8:12 amWe’re getting closer to Rush’s half-serious prediction:
“For those of you who read the book 1984, Big Brother was everywhere no matter where you went. Big Brother was on television, on the radio, didn’t matter where you went. I have a simple question. When do all television sets just eventually default to the Obama Channel? There has to be an Obama Channel now, and at some point the government, the FCC, is going to encode broadcast signals so that your TV or your receiver defaults to the Obama Channel all the time. Same thing with your computer defaulting to the Obama Page. I don’t know how many of you read Orwell’s 1984, but the supreme leader was Big Brother, and not only was he on TV 24/7, you couldn’t get him off of television.”
Brother Bradley J. Fikes, C.O.R. (ea1aef) — 9/20/2009 @ 8:29 amWorst non – interview ever, Mike. She followed the standard Lefty playbook – never answer a tough question directly, just ramble on about how the trivial stuff is taking away from the really important work for “the poor of this country, helping them hang onto their homes,” blah, blah, blah. The GOP better stay on their asses, because as soon as the pressure lifts, they’ll just go back to their same old.
Dmac (a93b13) — 9/20/2009 @ 8:33 amGood analogy, Bradley – but in this case, the medium’s not the message anymore (h/t McLuhan), at least in regards to the TV networks. The primary medium now is the internet, and they’re sh-t out of luck at this point.
Dmac (a93b13) — 9/20/2009 @ 8:35 amOne more point – if they try to control more of the internet’s main distribution networks, it will only induce more techs to devise rapid work – arounds in response to whatever the gov’t attempts to devise. True democracy in action, you could say – and let’s face it, the gov’t moves at the pace of slug, particularly when it comes to any technological issues apart from the military.
Dmac (a93b13) — 9/20/2009 @ 8:38 amIt would be nice if at least one of the TV stenographers asked Obama about this.
Nick Clegg, the Liberal Democrat leader, last night admitted he had paid for private healthcare partly because of his frustration at NHS waiting times.
Clegg, who said he had occasionally “coughed up” so one of his sons could see medical specialists quickly, becomes the first political leader to break the Westminster taboo about going private.
“I understand the sensitivity but I feel fervently that I am a dad before I am a politician,” said the Lib Dem leader in an interview with The Sunday Times.
Brother Bradley J. Fikes, C.O.R. (ea1aef) — 9/20/2009 @ 8:40 amHey, these guys are degreed from all the best places, educated to the hilt, and ready to spout the “classic” party line at the drop of a hint. They are actually smart, meaning they have few peers when it comes to assimilating written information and vomiting it out verbatum at the drop of a cliche; that is what smart is in our society. Memorize data and then spewing it back works for me. I’m too dumb to be able to memorize what others say.
Howard Veit (0d2b4f) — 9/20/2009 @ 8:48 amTo which Instapundit commented yesterday: “Better grow a thicker skin, guys, because it’s going to get worse. Heh. A lot worse.”
Yes it will. And just what will they do when driven completely ’round the bend? I don’t know but I’m not letting up and neither are the liberty lovers.
Peg C. (48175e) — 9/20/2009 @ 9:21 amBradley, the French call it “vote left, dine right.” One source of the reforms that Thatcher put in the NHS (like allowing private hospitals to be built) was the news that a Labour health minister had a hysterectomy in Belgium when the unions had run all private patients, and their doctors, out of the NHS hospitals in the 70s. The Harley street specialists had all moved to Belgium after the unions refused to care for private patients in NHS hospitals.
MIke K (2cf494) — 9/20/2009 @ 9:24 am“…bunch of cry-babies…”
But, but…They’re the One’s that they’ve been waiting for.
Just think, only 3-years, 4-months to go!
AD - RtR/OS! (a66538) — 9/20/2009 @ 9:49 amHow time flies when you’re having fun.
They’re crybabies but also they lie and steal I think. This isn’t gonna end well for anybody except maybe Daddy Soros.
happyfeet (6b707a) — 9/20/2009 @ 10:29 amMike K – Did Barcky really say that he was not aware of how much money ACORN gets, and how he had really not been paying attention to this?
That’s from the Clinton playbook–remember when the Lani Guinier nomination blew up, and Bubba suddenly “admitted” that he wasn’t familiar with all of those legal papers that his very good friend wrote that had everyone all riled up? Obama’s getting good weaseling advice from those advisers, but God help him if HRC decides to mess with him–they’ll run him over the nearest (metaphorical) cliff like a bunch of fake Disney lemmings.
M. Scott Eiland (c552ec) — 9/20/2009 @ 10:38 amI gotta tell you, they are the biggest bunch of crybabies I have dealt with in my 30 years in Washington.”
It was interesting that Chris Wallace, preceeding his comment above, remarked about his experiences with the Reagan White House, which he said, unlike the “crybabies” now in the West Wing, always took the MSM in stride and never acted like brats. That’s even more telling since most people of the right (undoubtedly including Reagan) are aware that much of the MSM is tilted to the left, and certainly won’t be as lovey-dovey for them — for any conservative/Republican president — the way they’ll be for a liberal/Democrat.
Sort of analogous to observations that the Clinton administration, as but one example, supposedly so concerned about the plight of the little guy, had staffers who — in the vein of a bunch of snot-nosed kids, if not crybabies — left big messes at the end of the day for the White House housekeeping staff, while the preceeding Bush presidency had staffers who apparently tried to at least tidy up after themselves.
Mark (411533) — 9/20/2009 @ 11:14 amNick Clegg, the Liberal Democrat leader, last night admitted he
…was a — surprise, surprise! — limousine liberal.
Mark (411533) — 9/20/2009 @ 11:16 amRemember that when Barack Obama ran for the U.S. Senate in 2004, he conspired with the Chicago tribune and a judge to release the sealed divorce records of his opponent.
Michael Ejercito (833607) — 9/20/2009 @ 12:13 pm“Mike K – Did Barcky really say that he was not aware of how much money ACORN gets, and how he had really not been paying attention to this?”
Barcky also said he wasn’t aware of Rev. Wright’s racist and anti-American sermons even though he attended TUMC for 20 years and called Rev. Wright his moral compass and spiritual mentor. If you swallowed his bullshit about Rev. Wright, why wouldn’t you swallow his bullshit about ACORN?
Remember though, he had to eat his first statements on Rev. Wright and throw him under the bus a short time later.
daleyrocks (718861) — 9/20/2009 @ 12:41 pmThat is why he will ultimately fail.
He will fail because he has the world view of a 20 year old liberal.
Terry Gain (f3f8a5) — 9/20/2009 @ 12:49 pmAny guy who can throw two entire countries “under-the-bus” is certainly capable of disowning a bunch of hoodlums like ACORN.
AD - RtR/OS! (a66538) — 9/20/2009 @ 2:03 pmhe conspired with the Chicago tribune and a judge to release the sealed divorce records of his opponent.
How dare you insinuate that the greatest paper in the world somehow acted sleazily in exposing the real truth about Ryan – they were just acting in the people’s interest. And pay no attention to the numerous former Axelrod flunkies on their payroll.
Dmac (a93b13) — 9/20/2009 @ 2:12 pm[…] HT: Patterico […]
Obama Everwhere but Fox « Something should go here, maybe later. (b093c9) — 9/20/2009 @ 5:09 pm“He will fail because he has the world view of a 20 year old liberal.”
You appear to have accidently hit the “0” key after the “2” key.
