We live in a pop culture driven country, which means the ACORN story has to go national now that Jon Stewart has covered it:

“Where were the real reporters on this story? You know what, investigative media: Where the hell were you? You know who broke this story? These two. You’re telling me that two kids from the cast of High School Musical 3 can break this story with a video camera and their grandmother’s fake chinchilla coat and you got nothing? They did it for $3,000.00. That’s Blitzer’s monthly beard wet vac budget. It probably cost CNN that much just to turn on their hologram machine. I’m a fake journalist and I’m embarrassed these guys scooped me. Let’s get to work people.”

  1. I think he said “wet vac” (i.e. wet vacuum?). As in cleaning his beard with a wet vac?

  2. Ah, you’re right. Thanks, Julie. That part didn’t make sense to me but now it does. [Note: I corrected the post re: ‘wet vac.’]

  3. The MSM should be embarassed.

  4. What little newsyness there’s been from the dirty socialists has been so packaged and scripted and contrived lately that I think Mr. Stewart has little choice but to talk about news what is actually news.

  5. Rick Sanchez on CNN seems to be in a contest with Olbergasm and MadCow.

  6. [Cue Bruce Willis in Die Hard yelling “welcome to the party pal!”]

Stewart is a disgrace even as a fake newsman.

He continually portrays Tea Party folks as clueless hicks who deserve no attention.

He never apologized for calling Robert Novak a traitor.

When he got completely pwned by viewers for calling Harry Truman a war criminal, he said he was wrong and apologized with his gibberish-laden Jerry Lewis impersonation but never put it in context why exactly he was wrong (Bill Whittle took care of that with his verbal murder of Stewart).

As much as Stewart may have embarrassed the news media and ACORN with this blast, he has a long way to go in regards to connecting Obama to ACORN and the billions of taxpayer dollars it either has received or controls. I also doubt Stewart will ever take the trouble to trace back through ACORN to the CRA.

Steve Malaga has a great article on it:

ACORN’s A Creature Of The CRA

What I would love to see is Stewart showing Charles Gibson’s ludicrous protestations of ignorance with the even more hilarious follow-up that it was something best left to web sites and cable news. Stewart could truly shame Gibson if he wanted to and shame is something that Gibson, Couric, Olbermann etc are much better at projecting unto others.

It could really start a tidal wave of expose’ if these people start feeling ridiculed by the American public. And it couldn’t hurt their imploding ratings to actually speak for someone besides the far left.

  7. To get a story like this, you have to be outside the Democrat Media Complex.

But wait and see if a Demo prosecutor goes after them for wire tapping.

  8. It is pretty incredible when Jon Stewart comes across as a more credible member of the media than any of the MSM faces/names we are familiar with.
Way to go, guys and gals!
