Don’t Take Tax Any Advice from ACORN (Updated)
[Guest post by DRJ]
Some “undercover work” from Big Government:
Hot Air says ACORN denies everything.
UPDATE: The Instapundit links an AP report that says the two ACORN employees have been fired.

Do we believe ACORN or our lying ears?
PatAZ (9d1bb3) — 9/10/2009 @ 2:54 pmAnyone involved even peripherally in the trade of humans for prostitution ought to be treated as slavers were treated in the 19th century.
SPQR (26be8b) — 9/10/2009 @ 2:57 pmWatch them trot out the ad nauseum, all – purpose excuse of “just a few employees acting entirely on their own” canard. Institutional rot is more like it.
Dmac (a93b13) — 9/10/2009 @ 3:16 pmIn a normal society this situation would result in outrage from an extremely large portion of the population. Given the fact that ACORN is the recipient of government funding it would also result in a hearing or two, an audit, and cessation of public financing. This is sickening.
hoony (d51142) — 9/10/2009 @ 4:00 pmACORN not only receives millions of taxpayer dollars they are the lying presidents favorite baby. Like the black panthers, nothing will happen unless democrats can find a way to blame it on GWB. I didn’t hear one democrat demand a freeze in the nuts (ACORN) funding or they’re prosecution. Selling 13 YO girls to a whore house is the speed of all democrat leaders. Shame on democrats and the blind/deaf/mute or lying LSM.
Scrapiron (996c34) — 9/10/2009 @ 4:12 pmThing is, these gals didn’t seem hesitant. As if this wasn’t the first time they’d been helping out a criminal enterprise.
Richard Aubrey (f76234) — 9/10/2009 @ 4:36 pmWhat is really interesting is that they didn’t bat an eye at the prospect of a dozen Salvadoran youngsters kidnapped into sex slavery.
Interesting, did I say?
Think I’ll go water the lawn and try not to puke.
“Anything that is not government approved is against the law, that’s rule number one,” the lady says.
If you want to know how far contempt for “family values” [liberal make ick face] goes, it goes all the way to organized child rape, I guess. For PROFIT!
Glen Wishard (02562c) — 9/10/2009 @ 4:45 pm“Shira” looks like she might be a client at such a brothel.
nk (df76d4) — 9/10/2009 @ 4:48 pmIt’s time to add “Association/cooperation/conspiracy with Racketeers to the charges on the Bill of impeachment against the Liar in Chief.
MaaddMaaxx (b91eb0) — 9/10/2009 @ 4:50 pmSo add that to the Obstruction of Justice and other charges again him.
The only question in my mind is whether he is a Con Man or a Marionette.
I never doubted the dishonesty of ACORN, there has been too much evidence for any denial. But this about sent me over the edge.
These two women are brazenly discussing how to successfully aide and abet in the sexual exploitation and harm of minors. Their casualness is worse than not even batting an eye – the pretend pimp/prostitute have posed a challenge to them and they are determined to find a way for these nefarious activities to succeed.
It begs the obvious question: in reality, how many young women have they been complicit in allowing great harm to come to them because they were more than willing to provide a plan for adults to exploit them sexually? Do they get a kickback from the business? Is this the ACORN way?
What I’m going to assume is that using minors for sex is no big deal in certain parts of our country and I’m going to assume that anyone with an ACORN tshirt/placard/membership is part and parcel of this foulness. And more so, I’m also going to assume that any politician with any connection to ACORN, is complicit with these women – whether tacitly or not, it makes no difference.
Dana (863a65) — 9/10/2009 @ 5:01 pmAnd these people will be helping conduct the census.
Well said, Dana.
JD (28f89b) — 9/10/2009 @ 5:21 pmThese are Obama’s people. This group is funded by allocations demanded by his administration.
This has nothing to do with Socialism. The Obama administration is a criminal enterprise, and they are complicit in the funding of other criminal enterprises to stay in power.
Apogee (e2dc9b) — 9/10/2009 @ 6:00 pmGod, I really hope Shira and Tonja from the video, do not have daughters.
Dana (863a65) — 9/10/2009 @ 6:07 pmI’ve updated the post with more from the Instapundit, including a comment by Steven Den Beste.
DRJ (6a2898) — 9/10/2009 @ 6:23 pmDRJ, the link is the Washington Times article on the NEA, not Instapundit.
[Fixed it. Thanks a lot! — DRJ]
Dana (863a65) — 9/10/2009 @ 6:32 pmIt’s good to see Den Beste’s name. I hope he resurrects his blog.
Brother Bradley J. Fikes, C.O.R. (0ea407) — 9/10/2009 @ 7:18 pmSpeaking of Dana ….
SPQR (26be8b) — 9/10/2009 @ 7:25 pmFrom the updated link:
Maryland ACORN board member Margaret Williams says in a statement the employees “did not meet ACORN’s standards of professionalism.”
The statement also says the video was an attempt to smear ACORN and that undercover teams attempted similar stunts at three other ACORN offices.
First, ACORN denied everything.
Then they fire the employees.
If they did nothing wrong, why fire them?
They claim they didn’t mean their standards of professionalism, which confirms to me that they do not see anything morally corrupt, ethically debased, nor illegal in attempting to cover up the sexual exploitation of minors and fixing their tax situation so they could successfully commit their nefarious and fraudulent crimes.
ACORN is a despicable organization. And I’m glad they’ve confirmed it to the public. No back pedaling this.
Dana (863a65) — 9/10/2009 @ 7:51 pmIt was unprofessional to be caught.
If the “smear attempt” occurred at 3 other ACORN offices, were there 3 calls to the police to report a crime? I’m FAR from being a legal whiz, but isn’t there not just a moral but a legal responsibility to report a crime? Don’t know whether it would be child endangerment or abuse, or prostitution, but it’s a crime.
On the other hand, if the other 3 offices saw through the “smear” attempt, considering the people who did it are not pro journalists, couldn’t they make a complaint of false pretenses or some such? I don’t know the correct terms, but wouldn’t they have some basis for a complaint?
jodetoad (059c35) — 9/10/2009 @ 9:53 pmI read somewhere tonight that there was nothing illegal about it because there was no actual agreement entered into but rather they were only being advised… on how to circumvent the law.
Dana (863a65) — 9/10/2009 @ 10:01 pmSo…has the Obama administration issued arrest warrants charging these ACORN members with conspiring to violate various provisions of the Mann Act?
Not yet?
Well, maybe tomorrow.
Dave Surls (d45e49) — 9/10/2009 @ 10:03 pmI want to see ACORN spokesweasel Scott Levenson on TV bob and weave over this one.
daleyrocks (718861) — 9/10/2009 @ 10:28 pmHopefully these intrepid film makers will inspire copy cats.
hoony (d51142) — 9/11/2009 @ 3:21 amSo, I watched a Glen Beck segment on this, and it is really rather disgusting. Dana was spot on in her astute assessment.
JD (28f89b) — 9/11/2009 @ 5:28 amYou know these fired ACORN “consultants” will get a recommendation from Tyrone F. Horni, don’t you?
PCD (02f8c1) — 9/11/2009 @ 5:46 amBut it’s the Republican Party that’s dominated by cranks! Politico says it, so it must be true.
Brother Bradley J. Fikes, C.O.R. (0ea407) — 9/11/2009 @ 7:15 amUpdate. The kids busted the DC office, too.
Richard Aubrey (a9ba34) — 9/11/2009 @ 9:16 amI like the timing.
A second video of ACORN officials giving how-tos on prostitution!
Bradley J. Fikes, C. O.R. (a18ddc) — 9/11/2009 @ 9:58 amThis time in DC.
Tyrone F. Horni is really going to be busy giving out recommendations for fired ACORN Tax Advisors.
Did these people advise Barney Frank?
PCD (02f8c1) — 9/11/2009 @ 10:01 amThey will just get Excitable Andy’s lawyer who will get them off.
JD (8e9826) — 9/11/2009 @ 10:18 amoh that’s right… barney frank had a brothel in his house.
How is it that the media lets that kind of thing go? He’s one of the biggest democrats in the house. Chris Dodd is one of the main senators, and he’s a huge thief. Obama snorted cocaine, and very few people know it.
It’s almost as though… they are biased? But then they wouldn’t really be journalists, so I know that’s not the problem.
Juan (bd4b30) — 9/11/2009 @ 10:22 amSo this wasn’t just some isolated incident. Shocka. How long van the MSM ignore this? Now compare and contrast had this been an organization that President Bush had pledged to allow help shape his agenda.
JD (8e9826) — 9/11/2009 @ 10:29 amJD, that is the sweetest twist imaginable in this story.
That young man must be some kind of genius. We have no idea what will be on Biggovernment.com tomorrow. And ACORN has been spun like a top. ‘Isolated incident’… except it seems like it was easy to get advice on how to prostitute children. This is one sick organization, and I honestly didn’t understand how much until I realized he was able to get two different offices to help whores be whores.
Juan (bd4b30) — 9/11/2009 @ 10:45 amJuan – This is one sick organization
…that Obama worked for and helped train in the past and who the Obama administration and the Democrats in Congress allocate billions of taxpayer dollars to support.
A criminal organization with direct links to our sitting President.
Apogee (e2dc9b) — 9/11/2009 @ 11:16 amStarting to look like blacks really don’t mind slavery, as long as someone else is the slave. It worked that way 300-400 years ago when they sold other blacks to the Americas, it worked long before that, and it works today in Islamic parts of Africa.
I wonder what would happen if Detroit left the union, how long before it would make Zimbabwe or S. Africa look civilized.
