Afternoon Scandals

Friday afternoon is a good time to post on any scandalous political stories … like DNA reportedly shows Rielle Hunter did have John Edwards’ love child. The only good part of this story is watching Mickey Kaus gloat.

  1. The course of events shows that even a strumpet like Rielle Hunter ultimately has substantially more self-respect than Elizabeth Edwards, and much much more regard for her kid than Elizabeth has for her humiliated little spawns.

  3. I had a big argument with my wife over Ms. Edward’s agressive PR campaign and subsequent book. I think I made a good point that when she recounted the night before their wedding ceremony she only said one thing – “just promise me that you won’t cheat.” Then I reminded her of the many angry and strident denials of this story during her husband’s campaign, all the while knowing full well the truth of the matter. She’s really no better than her husband (in fact even worse), and to use her illness like she’s done to garner sympathy makes me even more disgusted.

  4. We can only hope that we are through with all of them, which will be another dream shattered.

  5. About time the little [what Ann Coulter called him] acknowledged his child. Seriously, doesn’t he look, talk, and behave exactly like [what Ann Coulter called him]? I have never seen a less manly man. He is Elizabeth’s lavender and lace girl in my opinion.

  6. I would think the reasonable question now is how much he is going to care for his child. It looks like he had no problem paying hush money, let’s see if he will provide the support this child deserves and needs.

The kid had no control over who provided the DNA.

And he went the whole night without doing so.

That just about boils it down to what was wrong with Edwards. The ‘man’ was so obsessed with power that he violated his core completely.

One of these days, this child is going to be conscious of all this. I would bet a lot that Edwards will not face the music.

  9. Has Edwards porn blogger Amanda Marcotte posted on this yet?
