Pictures from Our 2008 Vacations, 5

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 11:17 pm

Today you’re getting a group of five pictures, for several reasons:

  • The location — Polihale State Beach in Kauai — is one of the most beautiful places on Earth;
  • It’s where I proposed to Mrs. P.;
  • It was the first time we had been back there since we got engaged;
  • We got to bring our kids;
  • There were rainbows and a sunset;
  • For all these reasons, I couldn’t pick just one.

The pictures were all taken on April 5, 2008. Enjoy.

  6. What a hell hole. How did you manage?

    Actually, it seems so serene and deserted that you wouldn’t be surprised to see a half-buried Statue of Liberty.

    Might want to send these to the Kauai or Hawaii department of tourism.

  7. Hawaii deserves its description as Paradise. It is, quite simply, my favorite place on earth. And possibly heaven.

  8. Is it still that potholed two lane road to get there? With the canefields to the side that they warn you not to turn into or you’ll never be seen again? heh, potholed – canefields, tied together unintentionally. Go into the canefields if you want to get potholed.

  9. You wouldn’t like it if I posted pictures I took from the balcony of my house.

    But maybe I’ll do it anyway.

  12. OK — I need to downloand some stuff off flash memory and I’m buying a new printer later today. While I’ve got everything out and operating, I’ll put a few up here.
