All The World’s a Stage

Very different Parties, very different stages.

The raised Democratic stage will enhance Obama’s image as someone “on high.” The Republican stage reminds me of the opening scene from Patton.

  1. Are you sure it isn’t to enhance Obama’s image as someone that you’d have to be high to vote for?

  2. The Republican stage reminds me of the opening scene from Patton.

Which is, of course, one of the three best movies ever made in the history of man

  3. They both look creepy. In very different ways.

  4. I’m sorry… I meant one of the best 5. My bad.

  5. Yah. Obama ain’t Jesus and McCain ain’t Patton.

  6. Well the DNC captured the American idol vide just right. Simon, Paula and Randy I assume will be honorary delegates.

    What are your top four?

  8. The DNC one looks like the stage at a rock concert. From looking at it, I half expect fireworks to go off when Obama finally shows up.

  9. The top 5, in no real order, are:

    1 – Patton
    2 – The Dirty Dozen
    3 – We Were Soldier
    4 – Blackhawk Down
    5 – The Dark Knight

Such a thing is not needed, for the saintly aura from The Chosen One, He Who God Has Sent To Us, shall rended redundant any display we mere mortals might attempt…

  11. #5 – EdWood

Yah. Obama ain’t Jesus and McCain ain’t Patton.

    — If McCain could raise his arms above his shoulders he’d slap you silly for that slight.

  12. Scott Jacobs, #9, just recently watched Black Hawk Down and We Were Soldiers in blu-ray. Awesomely awesome! 🙂

  13. Dem stage looks like that “Mighty Wurlitzer” that the lefties used to gab about.

  14. We Were Soldiers was one of the most emotionally draining films I’ve ever watched.

  15. My hats off to the dems for showing they have a deeply moral side. We on the right feel empathy and wish the Denver convention great success.
Out of respect for the public…democrats have suddenly developed a keen sense of morality.

John Edwards has been banned from making a speech at the Democratic convention for having an affair and lying about it.

In his place Bill Clinton will be speaking. ….don’t you just love the irony?
