“Surprise, surprise. UCLA is back in the Final Four.
After flirting with trouble for two rounds, the top-seeded Bruins blitzed Xavier 76-57 Saturday to earn their third straight trip to the Final Four and record 18th overall.”
Congratulations to UCLA and Bruins fans everywhere.
UPDATE: North Carolina held off a determined Louisville 83-73 to claim the second spot. The final two spots will be determined tomorrow.

Fear the turtle!
CraigC (802489) — 3/30/2008 @ 7:56 amI hadn’t realized it until I watched the game, but UCLA has only one senior (maybe that’s only one senior in its starting lineup, I am not certain). Howland has done a great job with this team.
Steverino (e00589) — 3/30/2008 @ 8:13 amUCLA played a great second half, against a pretty much over-matched Xavier team. I picked the Bruins to win the whole thing, but they are going to have to play better than they have to beat Texas and the Tar Heels.
FWIW – The UNC vs. Lousville was one of the most fast-paced athletic games you will ever watch. Incredible pace. Incredible athletes.
