Florida Primary Results (Updated)

Fox News shows Hillary winning decisively while the race between Romney and McCain is too close to call.

But who wants to read my posts when you have Vodkapundit writing quality commentary like this:

“The first numbers coming in, from a handful of precincts. McCain 29%, Romney 28, Giuliani and Huckabee tied at 18%, and the Ron Paul Revolution is well under way, with nearly 1,300 voters in the entire state of Florida. Or as we like to call it, the last 3% on the right hand side of the sanity bell curve.”

UPDATE @ 9:30 PM EST– It’s McCain:

“John McCain solidified his status as the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination with a Florida triumph, his candidacy having come full circle in little more than a year.

“It shows one thing. I’m the conservative leader who can unite the party,” the Arizona senator said in a brief interview with The Associated Press.

He was hesitant to give himself a label and was mindful of the challenges ahead, saying: “It’s a very significant boost but I think we’ve got a tough week ahead and a lot of states to come.”

Gag me.

  1. Oh, that is funny!

But in all seriousness: Go Rudy! And I guess I’ll have to start studying Mitt, just in case.

  3. I’m listening to Romney as I type this.
I like the phrase of driving the politicians out of DC, so the people can take over.
Has the GOP found their “Old Hickory”?

  4. The Mexicans are cheering today, as well as identity thieves, drug smugglers, and border patrol killers. I wish I could take back my contributions to McCain, they were a mistake. I just gave a donation to Mitt Romney. McCain abused the military last week by saying Romney owed them an apology. It was a very Code Pink moment.

  5. Anyone care to bet that the Dems and the media just roll over when Hill/Bill tries to count the Florida and Michigan delegates as legitimately earned delegates?

  6. JD, even the bookies have taken that one down off of the board.

  10. Um, that would be the left-hand side of the bell curve, unless he’s trying to say that they’re really, really sane.

  11. True, but remember this is Vodkapundit … either that or I assume he meant right-leaning vs leftists.

  12. If McCain gets the nod, I’m voting straight democrat out of spite.

It’s not like there would be any real difference anyways.

I don’t want to say he is too old but let’s face it he was toture for 5yr in a pow camp that’s got to do something to a man’s mind.. I can only say that we got to get over this us against them black against white thing in this country, I know everyone thinks it will never change but this is america and i would hope that this wouldn’t be a issue for us after what we seen happen the last 8yrs of bush cheny .. were better than that as a country pls all my republican look at your life when are we just going to except people for who they are not the pigment of there skin.. I think america is great but if we don’t deal with are race problem in america we will implode

  14. Study up on Mitt,

Yuppers as he has the looks and after all women will vote for the hottest man for anything.

Actually the voters should be looking are Ron Paul, though he can come across as a bit nutty, he really is the ONLY candidate openly offering anything in the order of CHANGE!

When the rest say they change things, they are talking about the name on the potus stationary!

  15. well, rudy is gone, mc cain is most likely going to be repub. nominee. the question then becomes, will conservatives vote for him this nov or stay home?

  16. look mccain wants us to be in iraq for a 100 yrs if that don’t tell you something then i don’t know what going to change your mind..

No, he doesn’t. No one does. If you really think that, go have your doctor up you meds, becaus ethey are losing effectiveness.

I don’t want to say he is too old but let’s face it he was toture for 5yr in a pow camp that’s got to do something to a man’s mind..

Wow. You’re really playing that card? Really?

I can only say that we got to get over this us against them black against white thing in this country, I know everyone thinks it will never change but this is america and i would hope that this wouldn’t be a issue for us after what we seen happen the last 8yrs of bush cheny ..

So I’m a rasist because I won’t vote for the black guy simply because he’s black?

I don;t know about you, but I’d be way more concerned about not sending a welter-weight into a heavey-weight prize fight. If you send a shitty canidate into the Oval office based on “first whatever” (black, woman, etc), and they suck (as both Hillary and Obama would), then you just married a shitty presidency to that race or gender, and you’ll not see another in a long time.

The oly people who harp on race these days are democrats. Could it be because most of us have gotten overthe whole “look at that thar colored fella!” thing? That maybe we care less about race, notice race, less than you do?

Wasn;t the point to be colorBLIND, not focused solely on color?

were better than that as a country pls all my republican look at your life when are we just going to except people for who they are not the pigment of there skin

See above. I don’t care about skin color. Why do you care so much about it?

Actually the voters should be looking are Ron Paul, though he can come across as a bit nutty, he really is the ONLY candidate openly offering anything in the order of CHANGE!

Change just because you can isn’t alway sthe best idea. I haven’t killed anyone. Should I change that?

I didn’t think so. Tell Ron to get back on his meds, and we’ll talk. The next anarcholibertarian that goes on about Ron Paul is getting punched in the face.

  17. The only question that should be asked about any candidate is whether or not they believe in upholding the Constitution. This narrows the choices.

    Brett (2eb1a0)

  18. the Constitution standard excludes McCain. After McCain-Feingold I have to assume he puts his own beliefs above the Constitution. I dont trust he will appoint any judge who might overturn his legislation either.
