Cheese/spinach puffs, various cheeses and olives for appetizers. The honey-glazed ham will stay in the refrigerator because … I ain’t saying all my family secrets. So what are you cooking?

The tradition in my family is to spread the Christmas celebration out over a couple of days with things like turkey, dressing and sweet potatoes on one day and prime rib, roasted vegetables and salad the next. We also have a ham in the refrigerator that will be served New Year’s Day with black-eyed peas and cornbread. But it’s not the food as much as the traditions … and thank goodness for that, because the dressing did not turn out well this year!
