Pants Suit Judge Out of a Job
As predicted, Roy L. Pearson, Jr., the pants suit judge, has lost his job. Allah puts it in his inimitable style:
Alleged reason for dismissal: behavior that sounds suspiciously like overweening jackassery. Contain your surprise.
He quotes a story that says, in part:
[T]he committee said it had reviewed Pearson’s judicial decisions and audiotapes of proceedings over which he had presided and found he did not demonstrate “appropriate judgment and judicial temperament,” according a source who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the case.
A guy who filed a lawsuit for tens of millions of dollars over some lost pants doesn’t have good judgment? You don’t say.
People who abuse the legal system often benefit from it. It’s heartwarming to see a story where they don’t.
May he never work again. The guy is part of that 99% that gives the rest of the lawyers a bad name. 🙂
I kid, I kid…

The couple does own two other shops, apparently the time consumed fighting this ludicrous suit is what caused them to shut down that particular shop.
I believe they have also filed a countersuit to recover loss of income and legal costs.
