Sandy Berg(l)er is back, and Hillary Clinton’s got him. Beldar expresses suitable outrage.

  1. You mean… Clinton’s a cold, calculating politician!?

Beldar is always worth linking. The only other thing you could do to improve this site is to get DRJ to post regularly. Oh, you’ve already done that!

Non sequitur. No one here has claimed such a thing.

  12. Considering Ms. Rodham’s propensity for walking the shady side of the street, maybe we can start referring to Berger as “Hsandy”

  13. Steverino,

Maybe you misunderstood me: when I said “Not all liberals support Clinton”, I was specifically taking issue with your implication that alphie supported Clinton. I wasn’t mumbling some half-assed excuse for her behavior (i.e. quasi-nepotism).

  14. Haha,

I’m going to vote for Hillary next year, but I can’t defend her.

I imagine this is one of the more modest outrages of hers that we’ll have to suffer through in the coming years.

    Hsandy is a great moniker.

  17. I understand the Hsu has written a suicide note. I expect we’ll soon find his corpse with 18 knife wounds in the back and hanging from a rafter in the jail he’s in. If its in a dhimmiecrat location he’ll also be shot in the back of the head.

I think the current crop of Republicans and their appointees need to be purged from government for the good of the country, and Hillary’s the girl to do it.

I don’t expect much else from her.

Other than ending th Iraq War, of course.

    alphie (99bc18)

  25. If I were her primary opponents, I would make her answer for this every time she steps in front of a camera or a microphone. But they won’t. Maybe the Republican candidate that runs against her will, but I am not so confident in that either.

Maybe giving up a law license prior to disbarrment is a positive to her campaign. Given the discipline she has displayed to date, this really is kind of surprising.

Are you the former Republican that the liberal MSM always quotes when they want to do a hitjob on someone?

    Let the purges begin !

There. Fixed it for you, Levi.

    with your stupid nickname

If you paid closer attention to his devoid of fact, logic, reason or ethics commentary, you’d understand why I christened him Staunch Brayer.

I might as well pounce on everything you say with a nickname of my own.

One problem. Staunch Brayer is an apt description of him because it’s true. Look in the mirror if you want to call somebody Tunnel Vision; because I’m still waiting for you to rescind your slander of Michelle Malkin since I showed you that she knew and wrote about legal immigrants on pages xiv and xv of the introduction.

Thought I forgot about that, didn’t you? Don’t believe me? Then go borrow a copy, since you can’t find your own!

    Paul (5efd01)

  29. Oh, and Levi?

How about addressing the topic at hand?

Even Staunch Brayer did that much.

    Paul (5efd01)

  30. This would be unbelieveable, except the Dems already gave us “Winter Soldier” Sen. Kerry as a war hero and laughed about “Sloppy Sandy” when he was still putting out the story he took the documents by “accident”.

My hope is someone at National Archives, Justice Department, etc., who knows more than has been told will get fed up and come forward.

If using Sandy Burgler is a modest outrage for Sen./Mrs./President Clinton, what do you predict, alphie, will be a major outrage?

    MD in Philly (3d3f72)

  31. The whole “Sloppy Sandy” meme was even more incredible, because the former President simply laughed it off. Let an E-3 be sloppy like that with classified materials, and they would be a civilian again before they could blink.

I am no fan of leaks, but given that he is still going to be a player in politics, and the record has never been settled, I would hope that someone with direct knowledge comes forward and lays it all on the line about Berger, one way or another. I do not care if he is vindicated or damned by the release of information.

I suspect that if the information would vindicate him, he would have not chosen to give up his law license in exchange for not testifying under oath.

  33. JD-

Not sure I follow your train of thought. I agree that the “Sloppy Sandy” story was incredible even before I heard the details of putting papers into his pants, etc.

The fact that Clinton and others laughingly verified this trait suggests they were “in cahoots”.

I didn’t hear what Mr. President Clinton had to say once Mr. Burgler gave a different version to a Congressional Committee, the one where he acknowledged taking documents, hiding them, returning back to the National Archives, then picking up the documents and destroying them.

We agree about wanting to come forward and expose whatever needs to be exposed. I find it hard to believe he will be exonerated if the truth comes out, for several reasons, including the very clear point you made.

    MD in Philly (3d3f72)

  34. MD,

Possible major “outrages” from our next president:

    Appointing Bill Secretary of State
    National Health Care
    Formal recognition of Hamas
Cutting off most red state farm subsidies
    Mandatory Co2 emission reductions

    etc., etc.

    alphie (99bc18)

  35. Alphie,

I think you forgot Raising Taxes.

If you think that she’ll be supplying you with a steady stream of outrages through the coming years, then don’t vote for her! There is no law which requires you to vote major party.

    Dana (3e4784)

  37. I still don’t understand why Senatrix Clinton did this in the first place. She’s already got problems with Norman Hsu, and you’d think that the last thing she needs is someone with a record like Mr Berger’s. Is there no one else in the whole country who couldn’t fill the role for which she has hired him? Isn’t Joe Wilson looking for work?

To me, this is more than stupidity or ineptitude; it’s demonstrating that Mrs Clinton simply has no respect whatsoever for her lessers (her lessers being the voters).

Amazingly enough, when I checked the Lost Kos and MyDD and Pandagon on this last night, there was nary a word said by any of them, yet they absolutely ripped the Bush Administration for compromising national security by supposedly outing a NOC.

    Dana (3e4784)

  38. Maybe you misunderstood me: when I said “Not all liberals support Clinton”, I was specifically taking issue with your implication that alphie supported Clinton.

I didn’t imply that Alphie supported Clinton, you took an improper inference from my words. I was stating that Alphie routinely deflects any bad news about Democrats. Doesn’t make s/he a Clinton supporter, just a denier of reality.

Don’t blame me because you read more into my statement than was actually there.

    Steverino (5f7efc)

  39. Apparently Senator Clinton thinks no one will notice, no one will care, or no one will get their objections heard anyway.

Which, for as outrageous as her taking Bergler on her team is, even more troubling and downright scary is this line of thought.

At least everyone knew (or should have known) that Pravda was not to be trusted.

    MD in Philly (3d3f72)

  40. this is a mistake by clinton and comming so soon after the first Hsu dropped will be noticed by dem primary voters.
