Do you really get 8000+ hits per day?
The Liberal Avenger (b8c7e2) — 3/8/2007 @ 9:21 pmYou mean stuff like that works?

David N. Scott (71e316) — 3/8/2007 @ 9:24 pmDo you really get 8000+ hits per day?
Sure. By the same logic that the quotes in my hate speech post were, on average, 8 years old.
Averages are misleading when they are skewed by a couple of very large numbers.
I had a couple of recent days where the unique visitors totaled over 15,000. One of those days, it was over 20,000. That pushed up the daily average. In a week, we’ll be back to 3000-4000 per day.
In the hate speech post, a couple of very old quotes (one from 1984, from a presidential candidate) allowed a lefty blogger to play with stats to make all the quotes sound moldy.
Lies, damned lies, and statistics.
Patterico (04465c) — 3/8/2007 @ 9:38 pmThe fact that Fitzgerald was a wild prosecutor out of control doesn’t mean Libby was innocent.
And the fact Libby was found guilty doesn’t mean that Fitzgerald wasn’t a wild prosecutor out of control.
While his conduct didn’t quite sink to that level, Fitz hasn’t shown much more ethics than Nifong. And so we can be clear on exactly how he is similar to Nifong rather than just make a general comparison:
Nifong hid exculpatory evidence from the defendents after they were charged until it finally came out in court.
Fitzgerald hid exculpatory evidence from his chosen target until he could induce a crime and indict. Then he released the evidence.

I can only dream! 🙂
sharon (dfeb10) — 3/9/2007 @ 1:41 pmJust what I need, like giving medicine to a corpse. A Jewish mother disguised as a Welshman. Or is it a Welshman disguised as a Jewish mother? Portnoy should be so lucky.
