Did Anna Nicole Smith Secretly Have A THIRD child?? [EXCLUSIVE analysis from Patterico.com]

Nobody in the press seems to be picking up on this story yet.
Is it true? I don’t know for sure…But it WOULD explain two very curious facts:
1. Anna’s alleged pregnancy in this case coincides with the time when she was putting on lots of weight.
2. This would be the only logical explanation I can think of as to why she would specifically exclude all future children in her will.
Anna’s [alleged] love child was supposedly born on 9/28/01, just 2 months after she signed her will [on 7/30] where she specifically excluded “future children” from her estate.
If the story is true, then she needed to sign that will just before she gave birth, otherwise it would threaten son Daniel’s future estate.
I could never understand why Anna Nicole would be so stupid as to include a provision like that. However, if this news article is to be believed, it would all (finally) make perfect sense – Anna Nicole [perhaps] had a THIRD child that she didn’t want anyone to know about at the time (and thus had to exclude him from son Daniel’s future estate).
However, because Daniel died before Anna Nicole, her will may be invalid – so this other child (Marshall) might now be in line to share the (potential) multi-million dollar estate with Anna’s other surviving child Dannielynn (who was also born after the will was signed).
The Phoenix New Times (a paper that I feel has a very credible track record) also reports –
Aside from a birth certificate from Burbank’s Providence Saint Joseph’s Hospital listing Anna Nicole as the mother of one Marshall Black Deer Soto, there are numerous boarding passes for round-trip flights from Phoenix to Burbank.

Smith promised that they would one day marry and live as a family, and Soto has numerous hand-written notes and letters from Smith stating those intentions.
One reads, “Oh, my brave Injun-man, how I long to be with you and feel your red manhood. Look after my little paapoosie [sic], and soon I’ll be your squaw again. I love you, kemosabe, Anna.”

As phone and bank records demonstrate, Smith continued to call and send the wire transfers. Also, Smith remembered birthdays and holidays, having a gleaming electric blue, child-size mountain bike delivered to the Soto household for Christmas of ’06.
Astonishingly, TMZ, Drudge and the other news outlets that cover Anna Nicole are only talking about Anna’s autopsy and haven’t picked up on this story yet. I think it could be huge. Maybe the other news outlets just consider it part of the noise of 7 or 8 people now claiming to be the father of Anna’s daughter Dannielynn. After reading the story and connecting the facts on my own, I’m not so sure.
The Phoenix New Times has a potential bombshell story on their hands regarding the late bombshell – but they didn’t pick up on the angle regarding Anna’s will. This is a Patterico.com exclusive folks! Maybe it will turn out to be bunk – but I think there is enough smoke here to honestly speculate.
UPDATE [3/9/07]: A clear picture of Anna Nicole’s alleged secret love-child here. Imagine the kid with blonde hair and I think you will be able to see a serious resemblance. Most of the press still hasn’t bit – but we are going to be running with the story on the Handel Show at 8AM this morning (PST).

As I understand it, she had a will that was no longer valid, as it named sole beneficiary her son who has been dead for some time now; and her companion/attorney, who was to be the executor of the will and watch over the funds until her son was 18, which he had reached before he died.
It seemed strange to me that her attorney/companion would not have suggested that she update her will. It also seemed strange to me that it was reported she had a fever to 105, but did not go to the ER because of concern over publicity, but had a “nurse visit her” instead. Maybe these details are wrong, but a temp of 105 in an adult is usually indicative of a big problem (a child can sometimes hit 105 from a self-limited viral illness, though it is appropriate to be concerned).
Lots of money, invalid will, dead body. I will be interested to hear the autopsy report. Do you lawyers think it is real strange her will was not updated, given the nature of her close relation to her attorney, or one of those things that happen, like a doctor not getting a check-up, or a plumber having faucets that drip?

I don’t discount the possibility of a massive fraud/forging of documents when potential millions are at stake – but how else do you explain the clause in Anna Nicole’s will that specifically disinherits future children (drafted just two months before the date of this kid’s birth)?
Don’t you think it is at least a bit curious? Why do you specifically discount the story? Is it just a gut reaction?? Fair enough. One is entitled to that. But you have to admit that the paper has printed documentary evidence (i.e., copy of the birth cirtificate listing Anna Nicole as the mother, picture of Marshal who has a passing resemblence to her in his face, etc.) that deserves consideration beyond the kind of nonsense story suggesting that Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband might be the father of one of her kids.

I did see the birth certificate in the paper and it lists Anna Nicole Smith as the mother, but that wasn’t her legal name (Vickie Lynn Marshall is her legal name). The only other thing that makes me discount this claim is that this story hasn’t been picked up by anyone else. I have to read the article and see what else develops.

It’s not enough to dissuade me from the story overall – but its a fair point worth looking into. I’m unclear about the law of birth certificates. Who is responsible for placing the names on them? If the father was responsible in this instance, he may have just told the hospital “Anna Nicole Smith” – and they may have just run with it instead of bothering to inquire about her legal name. But definitely worth exploring.

On the face of it, it is difficult to believe that nobody among them would have picked up on a story about Anna Nicole being pregnant in 2001. So that cuts against the notion of the story being true.
On the OTHER HAND – the New Times insists that is has seen money wire transfers going from Anna Nicole to the father here, along with phone call records and a birth cirtificate that at least seems to look genuine. That seems to be going out on quite a long limb (although again, I don’t entirely discount the possibility of massive document forgeries when the potential for millions of dollars is at stake).
Another thing to consider is that the 9/11 attacks focused the nation’s attention in such a way that even the celebrity gossip reporters could have lost interest in Anna Nicole during the last weeks of her pregnancy (culminating with an alleged birth on 9/28/01 – only about 2 weeks after the terror attacks). If the tabloids would have otherwise discovered a story about Anna Nicole being pregnant, they probably would have only had the potential to come across it during the final stage of her pregnancy when she was getting medical attention (once again – around 9/11 when the nation’s attention was obviously occupied elsewhere).

I’ve been suspicious that Howard was behind this will from the start. Knowing that Anna had many liaisons that could produce future children, IMO, Howard wanted to be sure that he alone controlled her estate, thus this seemingly bizarre clause.
However, I’d have to say that if Soto can prove his claim, it certainly exlains what appears to have been a hastily prepared will with minimal proofreading and requiste contingencies. It would also support my initial suspicion that Howard was the driving force.
If the story is true, he found out she was pregnant and may have convinced her to sign a will that cut that baby and it’s father as well as any other future babies and fathers out of any claim or control of her estate.
Even if the claim turns out to be false, I still believe Howard encoured Anna to sign that will to give him lengthy control of her estate (up to Danny’s age of 35).

If Howard is as cunning as I think he might be, he could have been the one to advise Anna/Vickie to use that name on the cert knowing it could later be challenged. Anna may or may not have understood the possible implications.
It’s also possible/likely IMO that hospital staff and even Johnny Soto did not know her legal name was not Anna Nicole Smith and therefore accepted and recorded it as given.

They have also managed to break somne great (true) stories that nobody else has (usually local Arizona stories – I grew up in Phoenix reading that paper all the time). It COULD still turn out to be a hoax (if it is, I think it is their best one yet), but I still have an open mind on this one either way.

Upon reading the article in the New Times, a lot of Johnny Soto’s comments brought back memories of inter-racial relationships, the Native American perspective on racism and protecting children. I still have friends in Sells, Arizona and have passed the article along. I believe the story and hope that little Marshall gets his fair share. Mr. Soto has records, and probably did not know Anna Nicole’s real name. Everything makes a lot of sense now, even to the point that Howard Stern knew about this child and more than likely orchestrated the will.

I reported this information to different gossip sites and the broward police dept. I couldn’t figure out why this hasn’t been all over the newspapers.

You can bet, Howard K Stern is behind the will. Apparently, he was informed about the birth 1 month prior to her delivering. The man is a snake to me. Anna also told Shelly, if something should happen to her, to remove such items and he had the passcode to get onto her laptop at the police dept. She provided him with this information.
Also, if you love someone, why would you allow them to be televised in that condition or any video what-so-ever. Was this a way to possibly purchase the yacht and possibly push her over and get away with it?
Funny that you invite over 300 people for a burial and only 100 show up. Don’t you think people are suspecting the same as many of us are. You put on a show for a viewing on TV and the first things that come out of your mouth is an attack and up your guard- wrong place. No fancy funeral or attending a court hearing is going to shy away from my gut feeling.
They say “No” we aren’t doing a criminal investigation, and yet they post-pone the autopsy…something isn’t right in sunny florida. Either someone is getting paid off or someone is getting ready to feel some heat. If it is Howard, someone better step in and remove that baby. I said that from the beginning when I found out the baby was still with him. I don’t trust him. He made enough money on ET to bail himself out and take his own life. He is a manipulator.

Something tells me that this child is indeed hers. Everything does fall into place. I have known Indian people to be honest and not lie. They are very spiritual and balance with nature. I can personally understand why he would want to do what he did with his son to protect him. Bless that man for that. However, being a mother and to lose a child, maybe she never forgave herself for what she has done so she continued on the downhill spiral.

When he filmed her in the clown makeup, he was in the background saying that they would “make a lot of money on this one”. She was sitting right next to him on “Larry King” and said that she trusted “NO ONE”. Howard was right there, and she said it twice. She did not say “present company excluded”. I hope that this investigation in Florida is done thoroughly. I know that she was very promiscuous and outlandish, but I felt so very sorry for her when I saw an interview done after her son’s death. I lost my youngest son, and cannot imagine what it would have been like if I would have had a newborn at the same time. I can tell you I was a complete basket case.

If she was stopped from seeing her son (5 yr old), that could mess a mother up. Always kicking herself in the butt and never forgive herself. Just a downward spiral and then to lose Daniel even while bringing a baby in this world, I don’t know if I would want to be alive especially when the finger is pointed in her direction. I told my husband that would be it with everything she was going through, that’s the straw that broke the camel’s back. The position of not caring if she lived or died and the more apparent use of drugs that was in footage after Daniel’s death. The situation is extremely sad. In the beginning, I felt bad. After hearing the details and the stuff that has come up, it paints a picture so vividly. Not saying she was an angel we all know she wasn’t one by far…but I wouldn’t wish what has happened to her to my worst enemy.

They were interviewed on Fox news earlier this past week and said they weren’t going to release what information they received until their new gossip came out. If this gossip is true which I never get this gossip, they are exhuming the bodies of both anna nicole and her son. The son’s autopsy was faked on the son. His methadone level was 10x higher than what was reported. Bahamas apparently covered it up.

While I think she was a great beauty, and that, as well as a certain sweetness in her nature made her memorable, her antics were ridiculous. I can see an affair carried on in the way he reports. They would hardly have been talking over world politics or anything remotely intelligent in the midst of the liason. Hope the boy benefits, as well as the tribe, if there is money to be garnered. What a melodramatic life that woman led. I am appalled and transfixed by this unfolding story. It never ends. How many movies and books will be made and written. Howard is knew exactly what he was doing.Should he also be held responsible for Anna’s drug use during her pregancy? Didn’t anyone see the video he made of her (asking if it was a mushroom trip)? My opinion..he took Anna from her closest friend,Kim, moved them to Bahamas (knowing their laws for paternity & possibly blackmailing Anna w/the video he made of her when she was pregnant (USA would have taken action for endagering a child), killed her son probably w/bad drugs (knowing that would kill Anna), then killed her by either overdose or making her feel responsible for Danny’s death. Any person could have made her believe anything because she was out of it. By the way, where was the DR. when she was taking all those drugs while being pregnant (some friend)! If you look back at pics of her, there were none during that time at all. None after Feb 2001 until Feb 2002 when she was REALLY big. Also, he was born at the end of September 01 and she wrote up her will in July 01 stating that Daniel would inherit everything upon her death and that she intentionally left out anything providing for any future children either born or adopted. If anyone did try to come forward they would be disinherited. I think she did this to try to keep the father from later coming up to claim that she was the mother. And it worked for 6 years, that is, until she died. Like I said earlier, I believe it. I am sure this isn’t the last we will be hearing about this story…

Well, now we know that the baby is not Howard’s! There just might be truth to the story about Marshall Soto being another child of Anna’s. I am very happy that now little Dannielynn has a shot at leading a normal life.
