1. Won’t it be kind of pathetic if nobody else comments on these open threads? I mean, sure, Atrios is really annoying with his numerous open threads, but at least people comment on them. If nobody comments on these but me, I’ll be kind of embarrassed.

3. Did you notice how the LA Times is looking for a buyer? Anyone want to build a coalition to buy it and bring some needed balance to that paper?

4. Isn’t the LAT owned by the Tribune Company? Maybe if they get rid of the LAT they can finally have the time to do something about my poor Cubs.

7. Had I the billions I’d start with a private lending library. Then make everything available over the Internet.
