Electorate Loves the People Responsible for L.A. County Jail’s Early Release Program

The L.A. Times recently ran several stories on Sheriff Baca’s early release policy, and the murders, rapes, and robberies it has led to.

I told you that the County Supervisors (who are responsible for allocating enough money for law enforcement in L.A. County) are primarily to blame — and so are you voters if you keep re-electing them.

So, after running this series of articles, whom did the establishment L.A. Times endorse? That’s right — the incumbents:

LOS ANGELES COUNTY

Supervisor, 1st District: Gloria Molina.

Supervisor, 3rd District: Zev Yaroslavsky.

Sheriff: Lee Baca.

And, of course, you re-elected all of them.

Suckers.

  1. You get the schools and government you vote for. This is one reason I left Anaheim to move to Iowa.

  2. But . . . but . . . but . . . but keeping criminals in jail/prison takes money away from important government handouts.

  3. From your link: “Turnout in the county was 24.6%” (doesn’t say of what, assume registered voters). So 12.31% picked the nominee. I assume everybody else just had to have that bikini line waxed and had no time to vote.

  4. I voted for none of them. I did vote for Baca in years gone by; but not this time. I am very happy that Meathead got crushed!

  5. Didn’t the crime in LA just drive a massive ‘federal government’ program to send billions to the idiots that can’t manage a county jail? You voted the criminal lovers in so now live with it and leave my money in my pocket.

  6. I dont believe anythings would change even if it’s someone else in place of Baca. These public figures work one and only for their selfish motives. Their laws and policies are simply for others to follow and offcourse not they themselves.
