We were watching a recent Crosby, Stills, and Nash concert DVD last night, and they performed “To the Last Whale . . .” — recently featured on this site in the Mrs. P. Quote Quiz. There was a lot of footage onscreen of dolphins frolicking in the water. “Those aren’t whales!” said Mrs. P. with annoyance. “Why aren’t there any whales?”

“Whaddya mean?” I said. “There’s two of them right there — on stage.”

I crack myself up sometimes.

P.S. I was doing ball-and-band exercises while watching the DVD, and I have to say I found it very motivational — far more so than watching a tape with a couple of buff people doing the exercises. You can do the exercises and think to yourself: “I could do these exercises and eat right . . . or I could eat Cheez Doodles and do heroin and look like that guy. Hmmm . . . time for another set.”
