It Depends on What the Meaning of Explicit Is

Filed under: Judiciary — Patterico @ 5:05 pm

Dahlia Lithwick has explicitly promised to lie — and twist the English language beyond all recognition — in order to distort Judge Alito’s record. If that sounds hard to believe, please understand that I’m using Ms. Lithwick’s definition of “explicitly.” Eugene Volokh has the details.

  1. First Joe Wilson lies, and now Dahlia Lithwick, too? I’m shocked, shocked!

  2. Twisting someone’s words, or taking them out of context, or selectively clipping quotes, has been and continues to be standard operating procedure for MSM. They’ve been at it a long time and are quite good at it, and at deflecting criticism of their underhanded ways.

MSM has an anti GOP agenda and they also have the means to smear anyone bold enough to voice opinions outside their approved orthodoxies.

Before Talk Radio, Blogs, and cable news, MSM’s victims had little or no recourse, other than to take hat in hand and beg for redress in a letter to the editor. No more, technology is the prime mover in evolutionary change, but apparently MSM’s aging dinosaurs refuse to notice an unseasonable coolness, a decided shift in the wind, or to see the dark clouds forming on the horizon.
