Cindy Sheehan Finally Jumps the Shark

“George Bush needs to stop talking, admit the mistakes of his all around failed administration, pull our troops out of occupied New Orleans and Iraq.” (source)
Wanna bet that this never sees the page in the LA Times?
How about page 11 of the Calendar Section? With a 0.125 inch headline.
Rod Stanton (08fb0d) — 9/16/2005 @ 1:29 pmNow this could make the Times.
And if she had said this in a speech in a public forum – or at a press conference, I think it would. However, as it was just posted on blogs, I am not certain if it the MSM will cover it, and I do not know if I totally disagree with that.
But if a larger story is done on her – then the statement should be included and if she gives any interviews – she should be strongly questioned on it.

You’re really saying that Sheehan has just now, finally jumped the Carcharodon carcharias?
I think she did that the day she decided the best way to honor the life of her fallen-hero son was to use him to advance her personal, political cause — which was diametrically opposed to his own beliefs.

Dafydd (f8a7be) — 9/16/2005 @ 3:56 pmCan you say, “Nutty as a fruitcake”?
nk (b923ca) — 9/16/2005 @ 5:45 pmFinally jumped the shark? Whereas, while she figuratively spit on the memory and service of her son for more than a year by using his death as a base for personal aggrandizement, she was at the top of her game, huh? And over that same period, while she has been making hate speeches against America, Jews, Israel, and any and all Iraqis/Afghanis who aspire to democratic freedoms, she was in her pre-shark-jumping period, right?
Levans (03db1e) — 9/16/2005 @ 6:53 pmI beleive that Cindy has finally jumped in bed with Louis Farrakhan. Ugh, what a terrible mental picture that is!
Savet (c0cdd2) — 9/16/2005 @ 8:22 pmShe should have stopped before everyone knew she was a nut.
From the Swamp (26027c) — 9/17/2005 @ 6:36 amYou know this will never see the light of day in the L.A. Times. Just like Mayor Nagin’s bus rescue of wealthy vacationers from a hotel in N.O. right after Katrina hit while his own stranded constituents watched helplessly, never made it into their slanted pages.
Jackie Warner (95d9f3) — 9/17/2005 @ 12:30 pmMaybe we’ll see Cindy Sheehan in the Presidential Box at the 2008 Democratic Convention, right next to Michael Moore and President Carter. Won’t that be fun. Then we’ll get to tie this and her many other wacky quotes, along with her communist play friends, to the Democratic Party.
I can dream, can’t I?
