Tsunami Warning for U.S. West Coast

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 9:20 pm

If you’re on the West Coast, stay alert.

UPDATE: The warning was apparently rescinded an hour after the quake hit. Nice; I learned about it about an hour and a half after the quake hit.

  1. Well, I’m glad we kept hearing about how all of the wonderful technology we had in the Pacific would insure that what happened in the Indian Ocean would never happen here. It turns out that it’s true for a couple of months after I dug out my house from mud I would have seen that their had been a Tsunami report issued. Too bad the media couldn’t pull themselves away from Michael Jackson to tell me.

  3. Me too; I’m a block and a half from the beach. I closed the downstairs sliding door when I heard about it.
