Timb’s Creepiness
It’s hardly central to the post, but the final straw for me on Timb came when he started hawking the Kimberlin crowd’s conspiracy theories about my SWATting. It’s not worth spending time to detail it, but just peruse his comments to a post by SEK at Lawyers, Guns, and Money, here. He suggests early on (but quasi-retracts) numerous falsehoods, such as that I made the 911 call for my SWATting, that I did not report the incident for months, and that I have blogged about Kimberlin to protect James O’Keefe. A paid flack for Brett Kimberlin couldn’t support Kimberlin’s cause any further. When I read these comments, timb was banned instantly.

after i got to the 47th flavor of crazy on that thread i had to bail before my brain crawled out of my ear to escape it.
