Team Mitch In Twitter Jail For Posting Profane-Laced Video Of Protester In Front Of McConnell’s House

[guest post by Dana]

Everyone is mad at Mitch McConnell after this weekend’s mass shootings:

Multiple Democrats, including Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, have been calling on McConnell to bring a vote to a gun control bill that was passed by Democrat-controlled House back in February. The Senate majority leader declined to bring forward the bill but said Monday that he’s willing to consider “bipartisan” solutions in the wake of the mass shootings as long as those measures don’t infringe “on Americans’ constitutional rights.”

Unfortunately, not everyone behaves rationally when angry:

Approximately 25 demonstrators stood on the sidewalk near McConnell’s Louisville home, shouting “No Trump, no KKK, no Fascist USA!” while others called him names like “Murder Turtle” and made loud noises by banging objects and dragging a shovel back and forth on the ground as a group of security personnel stood between the protestors and the home, WLKY reported.

“The b—- is home — we keep seeing the lights go on and off,” another protester can be heard shouting. “This h– really thought he was going to get ready to be at home after he hurt his little punk ass shoulder. B—-, don’t nobody give a f—! F–k your thoughts and prayers, Mitch. F— you, f— your wife, f— everything you stand for. ”

Louisville Metro Police told the New York Post that the demonstrators were “protesting peacefully.” The force added that they “are assisting Capitol Police.”

Team Mitch posted a video of the protests, which resulted in a suspension from Twitter:

After sharing a video of a profanity-laced protest outside of the Kentucky Republican’s home in Louisville, the campaign Twitter account, Team Mitch, has been locked out.

“This morning, Twitter locked our account for posting the video of real-world, violent threats made against Mitch McConnell. This is a problem with the speech police in America today,” McConnell campaign manager Kevin Golden told the Courier Journal. “The Lexington Herald-Leader can attack Mitch with cartoon tombstones of his opponents. But we can’t mock it.

“Twitter will allow the words of “Massacre Mitch” to trend nationally on their platform, but locks our account for posting actual threats against us,” Golden added. “We appealed and Twitter stood by their decision, saying our account will remain locked until we delete the video.”

The critical part of the video:

Black Lives Matter Louisville leader Chanelle Helm said in a live video of the protest that instead of falling and injuring his shoulder over the weekend, McConnell “should have broken his little raggedy, wrinkled-(expletive) neck.”

After a man makes a reference to a hypothetical McConnell voodoo doll, Helm replied, “Just stab the m—– f—– in the heart.”

Further:

“Everybody needs to show up wherever this ho is at and make him just regret his fucking life, period,” she added.

You can watch the relevant portion beginning at the :28 mark. Obviously, Twitter has taken down the original video:

This was Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitting last year that Twitter has a left-leaning bias:

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said on Saturday that he “fully admit[s]” Twitter employees share a largely left-leaning bias after facing accusations that conservatives are discriminated against on the social media platform.

In an interview that aired Saturday on CNN, Dorsey said his company has a responsibility to be open about its political viewpoints, but to operate without bias when applying content policies to users.

“We need to constantly show that we are not adding our own bias, which I fully admit is … is more left-leaning,” Dorsey says.

It would be nice for users if Twitter at least made a pretense of consistency when meting out penalties. But I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Heh. Nothing to see, just a few protesters demonstrating

  1. Welp.

  2. The day that the GOP controls both houses again (and the filibuster dies, birm), Twitter is going to find itself subject to common carrier laws and have the FCC up its kazoo.

The only downside is that it could kill Twitter. Oh, wait, what am I saying?

The problem is that they allow a consensus approach among their leftist youngsters to substitute for objective tests. One person’s whackadoodle is another person’s common sense.

  4. Would the orange be President without Twitter?

Would he survive the withdrawal if it was taken from him?

  5. I think Trump’s an addict. I fear he would have to dragged to TA (Twitter Anonymous) meetings…not to be confused with T&A, to which he would knock down in anybody in his path.

  6. While I understand people’s frustration with McConnell, it would be nothing less than frightening to have a raging mob outside of your home for two hours. Especially as they demonstrate they have very little control over themselves. It creeped me out hearing them name his wife, too.

  7. So Dorsey is covering with a cloth like he did with the analyst on antifa, and the one who uncovered nathan Phillip’s fraud

  8. I think “Dorsey” is picking out his new Rolls Royce because the one he has ran out of Grey Poupon, and some $15/hr granola is the one who made the decision to shut down the account.

  9. But is this really happening in Louisville, Kentucky? Kentucky has been permitless carry since June 27. Where is the “militia” assembling to counter-demonstrate and protect their Senator?

    nk (dbc370)

  10. Being a senator in Kentucky is dangerous. Get well soon Mitch and Rand.

  11. Probably, but you see a pattern dont you, maybe prince talal is pushing his weight around again

  12. Good thing someone wasn’t killed. Then twitter would ban him forever for posting a gross video.

  13. The “right” kind of people complain about Mitch as well -judges and bill killing be damned, not a lot of die-hards for he.

  14. This is pathological a mob assembles on your doorsteps and the media covers for them, the nets didn’t mention this.

Mere words, no stick and stones, eh? I agree. Can we get the Democrats and their cohorts to agree? For a start, about … hmm, let’s see, maybe Trump’s rhetoric? What do you say?

That’s what Antifa and their ilk want.

Jefferson County, where Louisville is located, was one of two counties carried by the lovely Mrs Clinton. It is our Democratic aberration, but it does have Churchill Downs.

  19. The revolution is the left using the resources it has captured to enable the destruction of the last vestiges of self-determination. Much of it is extra-governmental–you don’t need to put your enemies in prison or guillotine them–these are the old tactics of the brutalist state. Instead you get them fired, prevent them from using credit cards and paypal, subject them to assault, lock them out of approved social channels, make normal life unaffordable to them. This isn’t the 18th century, the new tyranny will have a woman’s touch, or rather a mean girls touch.

The left doesn’t need to make the police or other arms of the state do this, it just makes them unable–politically and practically–to do anything about it (and anyway run by people in leftist circles of influence). To liberals, it will look peaceful and just, and they’ll call it eradicating white supremacism and stopping hate. It will all be voluntary actions of concerned citizens and corporations who want to make the world a better place by “keeping you from hurting others”.

The violence is extra, and is an expression of the antisocial rage that has been fueled by addiction and social collapse. This is the animal brutality of a child who swings a bat at another child for displeasing him. Once it reaches a certain level, this type of violence cannot be contained, which will create a different type of disorder. The violence will become normalized, and will be done for its own sake, simply as an outlet. You’ve already seen hints of this as well.

Use your imagination. This is revolution in a world of globalism, corporations, and intense, multidirectional anger.

Thank you, Dana in Kentucky. I can see how the Louisville police might have their own definition of “protesting peacefully” then.

  25. The thing that’s going on here is that a lot more violates their rules, or can be deemed to violate their rules, than they can possibly look at, and they rely on complaintsm and this is true not just of Twitter but Facebook and YouTube and Google.

Now none of thes web sotes make public their exact rules, reasoning that if they did, they could be maniopulated, both to accuse people and to find loopholes.

But what they don’t take account of is there are people who know their algorithms ad know what words to use whe complaining.

And these people are all on the left, or that’s where there s organzation.

Twitter and all the others might as well make all it’s rules and algorithms public – and change them. (like eliminating relying on “magic words” in complaints. Otherwise they will be and are being manipulated.

  26. Like this (because I think this is caused by people manipulating the system who know what accusatons to make to cause Google to examine videos with a fine toothed conb

Note: Google doesn’t remove vie=deos but it’s put them in categories that are restricted by filters

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/dont-let-google-get-away-with-censorship-11565132175

PragerU releases a five-minute video every week. As of this writing, 56 of its 320 videos are on YouTube’s restricted list. They include videos such as “Israel’s Legal Founding” (by Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz); “Why America Invaded Iraq” (by Churchill biographer Andrew Roberts); “Why Don’t Feminists Fight for Muslim Women?” (by the Somali-American women’s-rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali); “Are the Police Racist?” (by the Manhattan Institute’s Heather Mac Donald); and “Why Is Modern Art So Bad?” (by artist Robert Florczak).

We have asked Google why our videos—which contain neither violence nor pornography nor any kind of hatred—are restricted. We know that human beings, not “algorithms,” have reviewed these videos. Yet we have never received an explanation.

The only restricted video for which Google has offered an explanation is “The Ten Commandments: What You Should Know,” a video I made. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz asked the Google representative at the hearing what could land a video about the Ten Commandments on the restricted list. The representative responded that the video referred to “murder.” As he did not appear to be joking, I assured the Senate committee that we would release a Google-friendly video, “The Nine Commandments.”

In defense of Google’s explanation, Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii added that the Ten Commandments video “has Nazi imagery.” I explained that the swastika was shown—along with a hammer and sickle—as an example of a modern society in which murder was acceptable. Don’t we want young people to associate the swastika with evil? I asked. She did not respond.

The restrictions continue. This Monday, within hours of PragerU’s release of our newest video—“The Charlottesville Lie,” a talk by CNN’s Steve Cortes—Google placed it on YouTube’s restricted list. This happened two weeks after a Senate hearing at which a Google representative swore under oath that the company doesn’t censor based on political views.

    And I think it doesn’t.

It just has lots of rules that could disqualify videos from being considered suitable for everyone, and it responds to complaints and they think that the rules for what complaints to pay attenton to are secret.

    And they’re not!

    Not from everyone.

    Sammy Finkelman (d542b2)

  27. All these websites prohibit or restrict the posting of violent threats, and disccipline the accounts, whether uploaded by the people who made specific threats or the people who received them.

    Neutrality.

  29. And these people are all on the left, or that’s where there s organzation.

Exactly. Its all a scam and facebook/twitter etc. know it. The execs are leftists but want to appear “Objective” – so its “Don’t blame us, we’re just following what the ADL/SPLC told us” or “Don’t blame us, its the computer algorithm”. Of course, when the D’s complain, Twiter/Facebook move like lightening to fix the “mistake”.

  31. BTW, I reviewed a George Will book and entitled the review: “Old man Yells at Cloud” riffing off the Simpsons. The rest of the review was respectful but pointed. But it was taken down within 3 days and I got a nasty letter from Amazon. First time ever. But it shows, there’s no reason to help these companies out with reviews, they just want you say how great a product is, so they can sell more of it.
