It’s part of Salem’s earnings report:

  2. I was gonna say “Eeew” until I realized it was Salem, not Sinclair. They do an alright job at WIND 560 radio in Chicagoland. Sinclair would be a bridge too far.

  3. Wow.

Fresh management brings a desire to put their own mark on the place. Keep an ear out, P.

  4. I’m sorry to hear that, Patterico.

BTW, is $0.1 million the same as $100,000?

    I saw that too.
It looks more impressive that way, I suppose.

  6. Wow… I sure thought PJM would be worth more than that.

  8. That’s a good point… that would make more sense, but still…

  9. You know, Colonel, the older I get, the more I realize I am a lower level member of the Mushroom Corps: kept in the dark and fed, well, you know.

  11. I don’t think that Instapundit ever did more than lease/share server space with them. I imagine he has still kept his old domain name, instapundit.com.

  12. Did you see that Fauxahontas Elizabeth Lieawatha Ann Fake Cherokee Warren has joined a couple of our friends here in calling for the breakup of BIG INTERNET? Because it was the Internet which outed her — nobody should doubt that. Her homies in the mainstream media would still be promoting her false claims.

It reminded me of how Pajamas Media got its name in Rathergate, when bloggers showed the fake news CBS fake TANGO documents to be fake.

  13. Surely has to be a more lucrative approach to world innernetz domination!

  14. I expect similar ideological cleansing there as at RedState. Not good news.

The interestung thing is, I think Iran is panning a war, perhaps conditional on Benjamin netanyahu losing or having aweak coalition (because then losing might be safer)

Predient Bashir Assad of Syria visited Iran at the end of last month and following that Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif resigned. This was because he didn’t even know about the visit.

President Hassan Rouhani ultimately rejected his resignation and Zariif eevn denied taht Assad’s vist was the cause.

Now I feel that the only reason they would have kept the visit so secret, even from the Foreign Minister, is that they were discussing a planned or possible war.

  16. Venezuela is now in what – the fifth or sixth day of nationawide power blackou, and now they’re losing access to water.

It’s probably because many in the people in charge of the electric power system have not been paid in anything of value. I think Maduro is not even able to pay all his generals, and he has a lot of them. The government is being run by Cubans.

Offering amnesty to the military is maybe the wrong approach – they need to offer amnesty and asylum to the Cubans and other foreigners – of course they have probably got thheir families in their ome country but some may be amenable. At least for giving information – if the U.S. and allies could somehow be trusted to keep it confidential. Maduro (and/or his Cuban handlers) are content to keep the mainstream military neutral.

The opposition doesn’t know what’s it’s doing. They blamed Maduro for burning a truck when this was caused by someone on teir side attemting to throw a Molotov cocktail in response to tear gas.

  19. Mergers really aren’t good, anywhere. This kills a lot of innovation.

Now what I would favor is creating tax and other incentives to split up companies. They’d actually be worth more to the oowners or the shareholders as well.

This is because of one great rule of economics: The whole is worth less than the sum of its parts. (there are more people who have the money to buy part. That’s why the wholesale price is always less than the retail price.
