Fake News on Trump and McMaster (Guest Post by Olapmurt Dibareno)

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 9:00 am

[Patterico is not feeling well today, and in his place will be a guest post by Olapmurt Dibareno.]

Hi, I’m Olapmurt Dibareno, and you’re gonna like me because I’m not one of those Never Trumpers. I’m here today to talk about the fake news in Politico saying that President Trump isn’t getting along with H.R. McMaster:

For a few weeks in late November, as speculation over whether President Donald Trump would fire his secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, reached a fever pitch, Trump and his chief of staff, John Kelly, also considered pushing out another top national security official: H.R. McMaster.

McMaster, the national security adviser who succeeded Michael Flynn — Trump’s first choice for the job, who resigned amid controversy within a month of taking office — has never quite clicked with the president, according to six senior White House officials. He is disciplined and focused, and has frequently clashed with Trump, who loves small talk and meanders from one subject to another.

Their strained relationship was on rare public display over the weekend when the president chastised his national security adviser for telling a crowd at the Munich Security Conference that evidence of Russian meddling in the 2016 election was “incontrovertible.”

“General McMaster forgot to say that the results of the 2016 election were not impacted or changed by the Russians and that the only Collusion was between Russia and Crooked H, the DNC and the Dems,” Trump tweeted. “Remember the Dirty Dossier, Uranium, Speeches, Emails and the Podesta Company!”

Fake News! Do these look like people who “don’t get along”?

Trump McMaster

Boom! Anyway, exactly how is it supposed to show a “strained” relationship when Trump just said McMaster “forgot” to say those things? My guess is that they were part of a prepared speech McMaster had, but he started daydreaming or whatever, and just forgot that part. So Trump just points out that McMaster had a memory lapse, and the Lamestream Media acts like they’re having World War III up there. (Although it is pretty hard to see how McMaster could forget the most important part. He should probably pay more attention to his TelePrompTer. Not everybody can just stand up and talk and be as focused and hit all the important points as Donald Trump.)

This whole fake news thing goes back to that book by that scumbag Michael Wolff, who said that President Trump often gets annoyed and bored with McMaster’s PowerPoint presentations. If Michael Wolff said it, you can pretty much bet that the opposite is true. For cripes’ sake, the guy even said that Trump is bald and had scalp reduction surgery, but there’s no evidence of that at all!)

Anyway, this Politico article seems like it was cribbed directly from Wolff’s fake news book:

Trump has continuously chafed at McMaster’s “rat-a-tat” briefing style, according to a senior White House aide, who likened it to machine-gun fire. The president at one point gestured toward the general in the midst of a lengthy briefing and said to others in the room, “Look at this guy, he’s so serious!”

“McMaster is very much, ‘OK sir, here’s the point, here’s the takeaway, here’s my point of view, and here are the things you need to decide by the end of today,’ ” said Tom Ricks, a columnist for the veterans’ news site Task & Purpose and the author of six books on military affairs. . . . At least one official urged [McMaster] to simplify and condense his briefings and to present the president with fewer options when it comes to decision-making.

Again: saying McMaster is serious is hardly a giant slam. President Trump just likes to lighten it up from time to time. And oh yeah, like a guy who turned a small loan into a successful multi-billion dollar real estate empire really needs “fewer options when it comes to decision-making.” That’s a laugh. Have you read any of his books? President Trump is the master of multiple options. You don’t get to be an alpha male who bangs beautiful porn stars (which he doesn’t do anyway, but who cares if he did?) and have a beautiful Eastern European woman at your side at all times without knowing all the options.

What is really so stupid about this Politico article is the way they make President Trump seem like a guy who isn’t reflective and doesn’t like to read. Well then how do you explain these tweets?

How’s he going to know if a book was good if he didn’t, um, read it? I’ll be buying the book myself. People try to say that President Trump doesn’t have faith because he never asked God for forgiveness. As a deeply committed Christian, I think it’s great that we finally have a President who doesn’t do all these things he has to ask to be forgiven for. Don’t you? It would have been nice if Obummer hadn’t done so many bad things that he always had to ask for forgiveness, wouldn’t it?

Sorry, I know I’m rambling here, but when it comes to President Trump and how great he is, it’s hard to stop me once I get going. Anyway, the message is: McMaster is great, Trump loves him, and anyone who says different is Fake News.

Thanks, guys. This has been fun.

  17. Since you like to read everything Ben, how about evolutionary psychology?

from avoiding conflict and competition, to single parenting, to low-loyalty to in-group, this r-selected Reproductive Strategy is the psychomotive origin of the Political Left, or as it is known in America, Political Liberalism. It produces a model of human which is cowardly, competition averse, promiscuous, supportive of single parenting, supportive of earlier sexualization of young, and which has no real embrace of loyalty, honor, decency, or any other pro-social trait designed to foster group cohesion and functionality, or success in group competition. Females will become manly, to provision and protect their young, which they raise alone, while men become effete castrati, designed for fleeing and fornication, and capable of little else of meaning.

Clearly, K-selection is the origin of the Political Right, or as it is known in America, Political Conservatism. It produces a model of human which is competitive, aggressive, protective, monogamous, prone to favor high-investment family values, prone to try and delay sexual activity in the young, and prone to exhibit honor, loyalty, decency, respect for tradition, and other pro-social traits designed to help the group function better, so it might defeat other groups in competitions for limited resources. In this model, females are designed to nurture young, and guide them away from the dangers and threats which the male is programmed to want to deal with – violently and swiftly, for the good of the family, and the group.

I wonder which group produces school shooter?

  19. Sorry Tillman. Conservatism by that definition (which is of course complete bullsh!t) could produce either “feral hillbillies” (which I have never heard of but assume they’re one of the “types” you elite leftists consider inferior and thus sub human) or Nazi’s but not both since “hillbillies” (feral or not) are rightists and Nazi’s are socialist leftists.

A person familiar with the records confirmed their authenticity, and interviews with teachers, administrators and those who knew Cruz — along with other records and accounts — show that he was well-known to school and mental health authorities and was entrenched in the process for getting students help rather than referring them to law enforcement.

THere’s an angle to the Parkland school shooting that isn’t getting nearly the attention it deserves.

In Broward County, law enforcement systematically ignored crime committed by juvenile offenders, shirking their duty, and leaving the load on education departments to deal with as if armed robberies and assaults with deadly weapons charges were on a par with truency or tardiness.

This is the reason George Zimmerman felt it was necessary to patrol as a civilian.

I live in Broward County, and have never seen any roving bands of juvenile delinquents.
If anyone has said the Parkland shooter committed those crimes, I have yet to hear of it. Meaning even if the problem is as Treehouse says, it would be irrelevant to his case. (Notice that Treehouse avoids the ought to be obvious fact that School Board policies apply only on school grounds, and only to the school police, not municipal LEOs.

And while Martin lived in Miami, he was killed in a different part of the state, so Zimmerman’s motives had diddly to do with Miami Dade policies.

I haven’t heard yet what Nikolas Cruz did for money.

Cruz became a big liar. After the shooting, he claimed he was wounded and was taken to the hospital where they cut off his clothes and found no wounds. He claimed he had heard voices telling him to kill. He’s getting to claim mental illness.

I suppose you could blame the mass murder on the flu.

  33. His “mother” died of the flue and pnemonia in November, and they probably ended all restraints on him. he first moved in with aneighbor, but the l;ady opf the house told him to leave because he wanetd to carry guns around. Then he moved in the home of a friend where he pretended to obey all the rules – but only because he had some plans in mind. Maybe he felt he could live by them only so long.

The crazy thing is that everybody acted like they didn’t know what school Cruz might attack. It was highly probable it would on;y be a school he attended.

The worst thing that happened with regard to preventing this was that YouTube took down that comment where Nikolas Cruz said he wanted to be a professinal school shooter. If they had left it up, maybe somebody would have recognized the name, and thought it maybe should be taken seriously, and at least warned the school. They shouldn’t have taken it down till they jknew whoit wss, and had warned all the schoopls he had attended.

My impression is that the school locked all the doors except one, and had an armed guard at that one entrance. But Cruz knew that when school let out, they unlocked the doors so taht the students could go out quickly. So he went on through an unguarded door about 10 minutes or so before they let out for the day.

The only thing is this crime was completely crazy. What’s the motive?

  76. Fake News 1914
The Battle of Mons was the first major action by the British Army in World War I. After the forced withdrawal of French and Belgian forces, the British were left exposed and while they fought valiantly, they too were forced to take a costly retreat in the face of overwhelming German forces. In the midst of this retreat a strange apparition of angels holding back the Germans was claimed to occur. Accounts filtered to the media in Britain of three angels appearing between the British and Germans, protecting the British in their retreat. The angels appeared as larger than men, with a center angel in bright light, with wings extended, seemingly protecting the two smaller angels in the face of the Germans. The British interpreted it as St. George, and the story was used in the recruitment of British soldiers.

But did it really happen? The seed for the story may have been planted by occult novelist Arthur Machen, who wrote a short story in the London Evening News about a month after the battle called “the Bowmen”. Machen himself said the story was fictional, and it wasn’t specifically about Mons. In fact, it wasn’t even about angels, the story relates that a soldier prayed to St. George, who brought back a spectral host of bowmen from the Battle of Agincourt who fought on the side of the British. But a number of soldiers present at the battle swore that St. George himself had appeared at the battle and staved off the Germans. Its a fact that something did cause the Germans to waver, for a time they recoiled and withdrew which allowed the British to retreat, but was it St. George? The story of the Angels of Mons bears so little resemblance to Machen’s story that its hard to swallow that it was the seed that led to the legend.

Frankly Kishnevi I’m finding it hard to locate the “conservative movement” at all. The RINO’s in Congress aren’t conservatives. Nobody in the TV media is except perhaps Tucker Carlson and Hannity but they’re political commenters not journalists and half their gig is entertainment, snark and cracking wise. Same with the radio guys. So where would one find the conservative movement? Hell, Trump is a New York liberal and he’s the most conservative guy in politics today and all he gets is grief and bullsh!t for it.

Authorities, who had been tipped off about the strange circumstances, described the perplexing arrangement to the Associated Press: They found the children, aged between two weeks and two years old, living in a virtually empty and unfurnished apartment. Among the few belongings were bouncy chairs, playpens, diapers and baby bottles.

The situation raised alarms for officials who worried they’d stumbled onto a human trafficking ring or some other form of child exploitation.

It’s more accurate to say that they are exempted from the transfer restrictions of the Gun Control Act of 1968. They are considered firearms in Illinois and in many other states.

Also, the ammunition for them is restricted under federal law. So even though a prohibited person (felon, druggie, wife-beater, crazy, etc.) might be able to get one legally through the mail, depending on where he lives, the possession of caps, powder and balls anywhere in the United States might get him five to fifteen in a federal prison.
