Well, of course blood libel against the IDF in particular — and Israel and Jews more generally — is so increasingly common as to be unnoteworthy, but, two points:
1. Pardon me while I question the timing. It was obviously known to the UN that this didn’t happen from the moment that it, well, didn’t happen. Why did the UN pimp the story for so long?
2. On what basis would it be wrong for the IDF to attack a school when it’s, say, being used as a firing position by combatants? Aren’t the Geneva Conventions very clear that the presence of protected persons cannot be used to protect combatants?
