The Jury Talks Back

AKA “Not William Jefferson”

Filed under: Uncategorized — Scott Jacobs @ 8:43 pm

On Dec 6th, people in the 2nd Congressional District of Louisiana get to make a big choice.

William “Cold Cash” Jefferson, or Joseph “Not William Jefferson” Cao.

From Mr. Cao’s website:

As a community leader, Joseph Cao is making a difference in New Orleans by promoting recovery and helping to rebuild schools, medical clinics, and retirement communities. Over the years, he spent time as a seminarian helping and inspiring those less fortunate to overcome adversity. A former professor at Loyola University and member of the National Advisory Council to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, he understands the importance of education, values, faith and family. With a law degree from Loyola New Orleans, a masters from Fordham, and an undergraduate from Baylor, Joseph has the credentials, discipline, and spirit needed to dependably represent Louisiana. With the drive needed to fight against the odds, he has dedicated his life to preserving the dignity of all people and serving the greater good.

And really, RedState sums it all up in a few words:

PS: Again: …in his freezer.

  1. Come on, Louisiana.

  2. Louisiana’s 2nd CD “is one of the safest Democratic seats in the country; the Republicans have not held this seat in over 100 years.” It’s a majority-minority district.

  3. Won’t happen….On October 14, before the Democrat Run-off election in Louisiana, Jefferson appeared at a press conference with over two dozen influencial African American ministers from local churches, who came forward to support him in his campaign as the “MOST EXPERIENCED” candidate in the run-off…..

If the “men of God” in the metro New Orleans area believe Jefferson is the man, then who are we to say different???

(aside….why didn’t they say that in the primary, when there were 7 or 8 African American candidates opposing Jefferson?????)

  4. I wanna know when they will pick a standard and run with it… Is experiance important, or isn’t it?

All I ask is that they make up their mind.

  5. Yeah, couldn’t someone run on “change”?

  6. I hope the RNC has poured some money into this race.
