Angry, We Hardly Knew Ye
I am sad to report the passing of the Angry Clam — the blog, not the person.
Blogging will be Angrier for the next few days, in his memory.
P.S. I am swearing off blogging for the rest of the weekend, out of respect. Also because I won’t have access to a computer. But mostly out of respect.

Trackbacks - The Peoples’ Version
Many comrades wonder about Trackbacks (TB) and struggle with them. Here is non-technical, peoples’ version from ‘knows-just-enough-to-be-dangerous’ Commissar. Purpose Trackbacks automatically put a link to your post in another blog, generally on a post…

Yup, looks like you were.
I linked to your .php file, and no TB. I went back, copied the TB URL, pasted it in the little box, and … there it is.
The problem is clearly at my end. Either MT doesnt know how to work with links to .php files, or I haven’t set it up correctly.

So is Angry’s passing confirmed?

Xrlq confirmed it.

I was spending too much time blogging and not enough working.
I deleted it to avoid the temptation to continue, which would have happened had I decided to quit but left it.

I am so sorry to see the Clam leave. He will be missed, as much for his helpful comments on Latin and Greek as for his troglodytic politics. A good man, that mollusk.

He may be brilliant, but he is an axxhole. Uncaring and unfeeling. The loss of his blog only contriubtes to a betterment of the world.
You can be conservative without being a jerk. AC was never able to understand that.
I’m SOOOOO glad he’s gone.

I did understand that.
What you forget is that I am a jerk.
