  1. This was fun. Well done Mr. and Mrs. P!

  2. So that is why you left the “r” out of “tooth fo a tooth.” I thought it was a typo but there are no typos in acrostics.

  3. I still don’the recognize Little Miss Triplet. I learned it as Little Miss Muffett, but I knew it had to be a triple “whey.” Was “Triplet” a clue to triple it? Three “curds” was the clue to that for me.

  4. I should have guessed about the cantatas.

  5. It was well done.

So that is why you left the “r” out of “tooth fo a tooth.” I thought it was a typo but there are no typos in acrostics.

I thought that was a possibility – it was only in the clue, not in any part of the solution – but I didn’t really think so, but I asked.

I would have rated the possibility it was a typo as less than 30% – less than 20% – but not zero – and that high (30% or 20%) only because it was the first Acrostic.

    Of course, of course.

Three “curds” was the clue to that for me.

No 3 curds wouldn’t get you the answer. I mean I thought the answr at first was WHEYWHEYWHEY but that is not the answer.

The clue waa: Little Miss triplet ate thsi in addition to the curds curds curds,

Since the poem goes “and whey”

    The answer obviously was

    ANDWHEYWHEYWHEY

    Except Patterico had another idea.
