The Cuckoo Claims of Tucker Carlson

Filed under: General — Dana @ 6:52 pm

[guest post by Dana]

First, here is a memo from Fox Corporation’s executive vice-president Kevin Lord, who rightfully boasts about the vaccination rate of Fox staffers:

Untitled

Good for Fox. It should also be noted Fox’s daily test is stricter than the Biden administration’s manadate which says that “businesses with more than 100 employees must require either vaccination or weekly testing.”

Now, here is Tucker Carlson, a Fox employee and character I normally ignore, but given his immense reach it seems important to point out any particularly imbecilic declarations he might make. Low-hanging fruit, I know. This time it involves the U.S. military and Covid-19 vaccines:

“The point of mandatory vaccinations to identify the sincere Christians in the ranks, the freethinkers, the men with high testosterone levels, and anybody else who doesn’t love Joe Biden and make them leave immediately. It’s a takeover of the U.S. military!”

And then it got really weird.

You can read Carlson’s full comments here.

I’ll just leave you with David French pointing out that which Carlson is clearly unable to see:

Look, the quoted part is obviously deranged, but let’s deal with the part not quoted, the idea that the vaccine isn’t necessary because few troops have died. It’s not just death that makes an infectious disease harmful to national security. Serious illness degrades readiness.

P.S. How many of you don’t believe that Carlson himself is vaccinated??

P.P.S. Administering vaccines to members of the military has been a longstanding practice.

  1. I’m too lazy to look it up but I wonder how many military family members have contracted Covid from their enlisted loved ones? And how many of those resulted in hospitalization and/or death? Also, the USS Roosevelt comes to mind as well.

  5. Somehow, I doan theenk so that Señor Tucker Carlson comprende the military very much:

“This was specifically designed to separate the obedient from the free,” the Fox host grumbled on Monday night. “Can’t have any of the latter category.”

  8. I don’t mind cable. What I wonder about is Carlson Tucker’s audience. Who tells them which is the TV and which is the microwave and turns the TV on for them?

    nk (1d9030)

  9. Obligatory:

It’s incredibly obvious, isn’t it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That’s the way your hard-core Commie works.

  10. Who tells them which is the TV and which is the microwave and turns the TV on for them?

The microwave is the one you can put your head in.

  11. Also, the USS Roosevelt comes to mind as well.

    And, after the vaccine?

  14. As the Rationale for Total Vaccination Sputters, Censorship Soars

“the failure of the official vaccine storyline to pan out as promised should at the very least open our minds to the views of the scientists, physicians, and analysts who proved correct over the last 18 months and who have proposed alternative strategies. (I’m talking about people like Dr. Robert Malone, inventor of mRNA vaccine technology; Baylor University cardiologist Peter McCullough; Stanford epidemiologist and economist Jay Battacharya; Harvard epidemiologist Martin Kulldorff; and Oxford epidemiologist Sunetra Gupta, all of whom have been censored.)

Instead, some nations, including the U.S., are tripling down on intrusive vaccine monomania – with the help of social media censors. When Berenson noted on August 28 that the vaccine “doesn’t stop infection. Or transmission,” Twitter banned his account permanently. But the Washington Post had already confirmed Berenson’s observation, reporting on a leaked CDC slide deck acknowledging the same.

A central fact of Covid-19 is its highly differential effect according to age and preexisting conditions. Young, healthy people are nearly invulnerable to Covid. But they and others are not invulnerable to vaccine side-effects, such as myocarditis. Europe’s EudraVigilance network, for example, reports 24,526 Covid vaccine fatalities and 1.13 million serious injuries. The CDC’s VAERS system reports 14,925 Covid vaccine deaths and 60,741 hospitalizations.

For years, most experts acknowledged VAERS substantially undercounts adverse events, perhaps by a factor of 5-10. But now the CDC, FDA, and NIH insist VAERS is unreliable and we should ignore these danger signals.”

Perpetual vaccinations, perpetual boosters, perpetual expensive treatments, perpetual Covid deuteropathies. Perpetual big bucks to Big Pharma.

We don’t know what’s in the minds of the anti-vax pezzonovantes like Carlson Tucker (sic), Ron DeSantis, and Greg Abbott, but we can find out what’s in their bank accounts and political campaign chests. Just saying. You know?

    Time123 (9f42ee)

  27. Nice anti-vax spin obudman. But the facts are that almost all of the hospitalization and deaths are among the unvaccinated, as are the majority of the reported cars.

2/3rds of the country, the sample size has had some level of vaccination, at least among the eligable. So saying majority sounds like it could be 51%, but it’s not, it’s in the 90% range being unvaxxed, and something close to 0% of the deaths, in pure numbers that’s between 20x and 40x higher risk being unvaxxed.

But monoclonal…because vaccines are new and therefore untested over the last few hundred years, 20 for the mRNA. Cool, but monoclonal antibody therapy is way newer, works under an emergency use authorization…urgh, logic!!

    nk (1d9030)

  33. Young, healthy people are nearly invulnerable to Covid

Not true. They can get it and they can spread it. It may not be obvious in this ME era, but you have responsibilities as well as rights.

    Kevin M (ab1c11)

  34. I don’t know that I mind a company making money by quickly developing a vaccine for highly contagious and deadly disease.

We should instead wait for the appropriate bureau to get funding to do an EIR to see if a study of the possibility of a vaccine should be made an option to the stakeholders?

    Kevin M (ab1c11)

  35. Cool, but monoclonal antibody therapy is way newer, works under an emergency use authorization…urgh, logic!!

And now they want monoclonal antibodies to be “prioritized to the unvaccinated.” While prioritizing to 90% of hospitalized patients is little more than grandstanding, there is a threat to withhold them from people who have taken all precautions but have weak immune systems.

    Kevin M (ab1c11)

  36. @35, we should prioritize them based on which patients need them most.

That’s not true, it’s a therapy that’s been around for ever. It’s EU because of the studies required to get approval for a disease is the same as all other disease. Which takes time.

The mRN vaccine is the more experimental therapy than monoclonal antibody infusion. (I got both of the mRNA pfizer jab btw)

The boosters are the same shots.

Really, it’s a timing thing and we need to find that “sweep spot” to maintain effectiveness. For now, it’s a good thing for to focus on giving the boosters to the immuno-suppressed and elderly population, as their immuno-response would weaken faster than a vaccinated healthy adult. Hopefully, as we get more information over the months we can land on a guidance for getting the boosters.

I always thought that this was going to be an ongoing thing, respiratory illnesses have this problem, they evolve really quickly, and memory cells are bad at that, while mRNA vaccines are good at it.

When I got Moderna, I felt like crap for a day, and my arm stayed bruised for a week, on both of them. The question was always how often is required. I was hoping for a combined FluVid vaccine but that doesn’t work from a manufacturing perspective even if mRNA is much faster at tweaking, and would have to go through full authorization. We have to get Covid under control, at the current rate, we’re (globally) going to get generally the same evolution per infection, but the more people infected the faster the Δv is going to be and that is the biggest problem. That’s the issue, the next variant might be able to out compete the others, as delta has, and may be more fatal, or less, so we need to slow it down, but that just doesn’t seem to be an issue that the planet is going to be able to address until 2023 when we can finally get sufficient volume to vaccinate enough people that we don’t have out of control replication.
