Memorial Day 2021

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 9:28 pm

I hope everyone had a great day. We spent it tromping around our old stomping grounds in Marina del Rey, finishing it off with dinner at the King’s Head in Santa Monica. Thanks to the veterans who made such simple pleasures possible.

  1. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the tulsa massacre. Some of the 400+ were veterans of world war I, spanish american war and the civil war.

  2. I had restaurant food for the first since Covid came. McDonald’s Quarter Pounder With Cheese and large fries. Drive-through, wore mask, basking in my vaccination privilege.

  3. Most of us have been using drive-thru for some time now.

  4. Most of us who aren’t covidiots ditched our masks ages ago. And on a serious note, why aren’t there biohazard bins for used masks and gloves if this virus is so contagious and deadly?

    One way or another, anyway.

And on a serious note, why aren’t there biohazard bins for used masks and gloves if this virus is so contagious and deadly?

The Rothschilds disinfect them (the discarded masks and gloves) with their ultraviolet space lasers from orbit, and the ones they miss are sprayed with hydroxycloroquine by special hazmat teams composed of pizza delivery men on their ways to and from pizza and adenochrome deliveries.

  6. You know, the GOP would not be having this Trump-Not Trump divisiveness problem right, if the GOP had gone ahead and given Trump the nominating convention he wanted:

The convention was originally scheduled to be held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, but on June 2, 2020, Trump and the Republican National Committee pulled the event from Charlotte after the North Carolina state government declined to agree to Trump’s demands to allow the convention to take place with a full crowd and without public health measures designed to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as social distancing and face coverings.

A moment of sanity on the part of North Caroline changed the face of American politics.

  8. It was a great Memorial Day weekend. Mrs. Montagu and I went to a friend’s house on Sunday and had a great maskless time with our vaccinated friends. The hangover on Monday morning was wonderful. All worth it.

  9. nk @6 Why?

    What would have happened?

Trump would have lost? Trump would have gotten Covid?

    Sammy Finkelman (51cd0c)

  10. All the GOP party bosses and high-ranking foot soldiers loyal to Trump would have picked up Covid, and brought it back home to their local pro-Trump machines, decimating them.
