Breaking News: No Charges to be Filed in Jacob Blake Shooting

To the surprise of nobody not completely cowed by the Black Lives Matter movement, the District Attorney for Kenosha County has announced that no charges will be filed against Officer Rusten Sheskey who shot Jacob Blake this past August.
So do the street riots resume, or are they now passé in the age of Joe Biden? Speaking of the soon-to-be President, does he dare demand a federal civil rights investigation into the matter of the shooting? Can he afford not to?
Can we at least cancel a couple days worth of NBA games?

Just wait until everyone goes nuts when Kyle Rittenhouse is aquitted of everything except for maybe a minor in possession of a firearm offense. He pled not guilty in court earlier today.

There ae a lot of things that aren’t racial issues.
The woman who accused a 14 year old of having her lost iPhone and tried ti take it away by force was making amuch more general mistake – first in believing it was likely and then what she did. I think his father said to her that’s not the only iPhone in the world.
The management of the hotel got involved, a little bit too much taking her side.
It was later brought to the hotel by an Uber driver.
She hasn’t apologized. She – and her mother – have minor criminal records, in connection with alcohol.

Whehen cameras caught up wth her the first thing she said was that she was 22. (young also?)
And then her Trump card as she was getting ready to drive away: She’s Puerto Rican! I think even she didn’t believe that should mute the criticism.

The only time BLM/Antifa and the rest of the left will protest is when they want to extract something from Biden.
But now that Biden has promised (please…it’s NOT a bribe) $2000 checks if Democrats take the Georgia Senate seats, all will remain calm.

The people don’t mind their cops shooting black men seven times in the back at nightstick-on-the-head range, and they elect like-minded mayors and prosecutors. Since Blake wasn’t killed, the prosecutor was spared going through the motions of a fake trial, like in the murder of Daniel Shaver in Mesa, Arizona.
And I agree that Kyle Rittenhouse will likely be acquitted although that seems more righteous. Killing a convicted child molester who travels halfway across the country to chase you down the street at the head of a mob of looters and thugs just does not seem all that evil to me somehow.

And last time my garage was burgled, I didn’t even bother then, it literally wasn’t worth wasting my time to give them a report nobody but their budget negotiators care about.
I do realize I’m more on the liberal side of the spectrum in these parts, but this is one thing we are quite far apart on. I will continue to work on fixing the force here in SF. I have two goals:
– 911 should be an independent dispatch agency handling emergency response across emergency types, so that callers who don’t need potential violence won’t get it. (We don’t send cops to fight fires, why do we send them for so many other things they have no training for?)
– Real oversight. This is a much harder pull, probably not possible with our current power structures. So I’m working on trying to impose it externally via less formal mechanisms. Which misses a lot, particularly internal stink, but it has the advantage of being possible.
I’d love to live in a world where I didn’t need to treat cops like dangerous animals. Maybe we can get closer to that before I kick it.

Ryle Kittenhouse can be acquitted in the ULB court by taking out that doctor on the other side of the Milwaukee burbs who let the vaccine spoil. Otherwise, key down the drain.

You have to really mean it to have an a parade in January in Kenosha. I know a lot of the regulars here are from CA. It’s cold In Wisconsin in January. Notice that the protests always seem to die down when the weather turns.

The segment described Jacob Blake as a guy who was shot and paralyzed by a Kenosha cop 90 days after George Floyd was killed. Absolutely zero mention was made of the fact that Mr. Blake was trespassing, had sexually assaulted his ex-girlfriend, brandished a weapon, had stolen money and a car belonging to his ex, and was in the process of fleeing the scene taking his minor children with him despite orders to hold still from the police.
I’m remembering why I don’t watch SportsCenter any longer.
