Can This Really Be?

The new Suffolk University/USA Today national poll of 2020 Democrat candidates has My Little Aloha Sweetie pulling ahead of Intersectionality Bingo.

She’s also gaining in New Hampshire, according to the latest CNN/University of New Hampshire poll. One more poll showing her above the 3% threshold will earn her a place in the November debate. Meanwhile, Senator Kamala Harris is cutting staff at her Baltimore headquarters and pinning all of her hopes on a strong showing in Iowa. Good riddance to her (let’s hope).

Thanks for the assist, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

  1. Yes, yes, I know: the sample size for the poll is relatively small and nearly 3 in 10 respondents said they have not yet chosen a favorite candidate. Still, though, Little Aloha Sweetie is moving on up!

  2. The biggest gain seems to be by Mayor Buttercup. I don’t remember him doing or being done to recently. Perhaps staying silent enough so people think you are sane is a good strategy.

  4. I did not see this earlier when it was first announced, but even senile old Dianne Feinstein has endorsed Joe Biden over Kamala Harris. When the senior senator from your own state passes you over then you must be pretty hopeless. But of course, she has the backing of our hyper-slick governor.

  5. =Ring=Ring= Hello Joe? This is March calling to remind you that you drop out in February.

  6. Woohoo! Congrats to the Nats,2019 World Series champs! No shame on Houston, they played great ball. But wow, they all won away. Home team ticket holders were the big lo$ers!

  8. Whooo!!!! Nationals! I’m guessing no invite.

  9. @8. Certainly some no-shows. Cruz lost his bet w/Kaine and had to dress up in Nats gear and feed the senator and his staff. Glorious.

  15. Thanks for the assist, Hillary Rodham Clinton Vladimir Putin.

Nevertheless, I think I saw somewhere today that she didn’t qualify for the next debate.

  16. I may have misread – this article (from today) says she has until November 13.

  18. I saw it was a USA Today/suffolk poll, thought you were doing their poll showing 36% want to investigated and impeach. The rest? Nope.

Oh is that the Joe McCarthy book with the 2nd edition forward by Hillary Clinton?

  22. What is the reasoned objection to Gabbard from D’s? It seems like she checks off all the boxes on policy and she doesn’t have the health issues of Biden and Bernie. She doesn’t stink of corruption like most of the other candidates. I don’t agree with her on policy but she seems intelligent and sincere. Her foreign policy doesn’t seem that much different than BO’s original policy when he ran for his first term. What am I missing other than the totally obvious not at all ridiculous Russian asset factor?

  23. Yup, Dave – Putzie haswarmed up to the realities of the American advertising market where a spouse-of-color is acceptable and encouraged and he has his Sleep-Number Bed wife as the perfect candidate.

  24. Probably just the youth, not paid her dues, legacy antagonism toward military, and attention to her race/religion from both white skeptics (e.g. what about the rust belt?) on one hand, the other POC on the other. I like her though, hell I want to see a Man-In-The-High Castle race between a Gabbard-Yang and Trump-_______(just to indulge DCSCA, but in that scenario I think he’d pick a Blackburn, Stefanik or even a Liz Cheney)

    urbanleftbehind (5eecdb)

  25. What is the reasoned objection to Gabbard from D’s?

She doesn’t hate her political opponents, nor try to drive them out of the public square. That is unforgivable to the woke. When her own state’s U.S. Senator Maizie Hirono was displaying her ugly anti-Catholic bigotry alongside of my own worthless Senator Dianne Feinstein, Little Aloha Sweetie called it out for what it was. That sort of off-messaging is treason to today’s Democrats (and a strong subset of Republicans too). And the fact that she’s a woman of Pacific Islander heritage yet doesn’t seem all that interested in playing along with the heightened intersectionality game makes her even more of an apostate.

Verily, I wish that someone other than Trump had won in 2016, and that Tulsi Gabbard would have been appointed as Secretary of the Veteran’s Administration. I will be interested in seeing what she ends up doing once she leaves office in 2021, assuming she isn’t moving in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

    JVW (54fd0b)

  26. Rep. Gabbard, it should also be mentioned, resigned her position with DNC leadership after the DNC’s favoritism towards Hillary Clinton over Bernard Sanders came to light. I count Little Aloha Sweetie’s support of the crusty old Vermont Marxist as a strike against her (though she is forgiven in the 2016 election because the alternative was so much worse), but I admire her for putting principle over party loyalty.

  31. When somebody is polling at 2%, almost anything that gets them a little attention can raise them to 3% or 4%

  32. Is that right? Or should it be the fascination bossy women have for some men? How about the yen some men get for bossy women?

  33. Gabbard has negligible support in the Democratic party.

But Harris *also* has negligible support.

  36. Good news!

Michael Bloomberg is coming to save us.

At least he’s ready to drop in if Joe iden drops out.

Michael Bloomberg to file for presidential primary in Alabama this week, opening door for 2020 run

By Anna Sanders and Chris Sommerfeldt

    Nov 07, 2019 | 5:51 PM

The billionaire ex-mayor, who has flirted with a White House bid for months, is filing paperwork Friday to qualify for Alabama’s Democratic presidential primary, signaling he’s about to jump into the 2020 race, according to two sources familiar with the matter

While the sources stressed he hasn’t completely made up his mind, the 77-year-old Hizzoner has dispatched staffers to Alabama this week to gather signatures in order to make it onto the Yellowhammer State’s primary ballot, a former Bloomberg administration official told the Daily News on Thursday.

“They’ve totally geared up over the last few days and they’re doing ’round the clock meetings,” the official said.

Alabama’s primary isn’t until March, but the state has a Friday deadline to qualify for the ballot. A candidate needs 500 signatures to qualify.

P.S. Jeff Sessions is also running for the Senate.

  37. I think Bloomberg polls at only 6% in Iowa. But he can just wait till people drop out.

I think he should run third party if Elizabeth Warren can’t be beat/ he should not rule that out.
