Trump: Sure, I Deliberately Burst in on Naked Beauty Contestants

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 2:33 pm

In the avalanche of stories about Donald Trump’s piggish behavior, one story deserves more attention: Trump’s boasting about deliberately walking into a room of naked beauty contestants, apparently without any warning.

CNN published several recordings yesterday of Trump on Howard Stern’s show, talking crudely about women in various different ways. The title of CNN’s article was Donald Trump to Howard Stern: It’s okay to call my daughter a ‘piece of ass’ — and that is certainly a relevant and newsworthy topic which was ably covered by Brandon Morse here. But because there was so much information in the CNN story, relatively few people have focused on Trump’s boasting about how he “gets away with” deliberately bursting in on naked women:

Co-host Robin Quivers then asked Trump if sleeping with the contestants could be construed as a conflict of interest.

“It could be a conflict of interest,” Trump said. “But, you know, it’s the kind of thing you worry about later, you tend to think about the conflict a little bit later on.”

Stern then put on a fake foreign accent, saying that “some of these foreign girls” say hello “with vagina.”

“Well, what you could also say is that, as the owner of the pageant, it’s your obligation to do that,” Trump said, before discussing how he got away with going backstage when the contestants were naked.

“Well, I’ll tell you the funniest is that before a show, I’ll go backstage and everyone’s getting dressed, and everything else, and you know, no men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it,” Trump said. “You know, I’m inspecting because I want to make sure that everything is good.”

“You know, the dresses. ‘Is everyone okay?’ You know, they’re standing there with no clothes.

‘Is everybody okay?’ And you see these incredible looking women, and so, I sort of get away with things like that. But no, I’ve been very good,” he added.

Listen at 2:24 in this recording:

Like the “grab them by the p***y” comment, this is indicative of Trump doing more than talking like a young and crude guy. It’s evidence that he actually engaged in behavior that most women would consider creepy and perhaps even threatening.

It would not surprise me to see this specifically brought up by Hillary Clinton in tonight’s debate.

  1. that happens on a lot of sets and at fashion shows all the time

    especially at fashion shows

when you’re the producer you can’t really knock every time you walk into a room where the talent’s getting ready

for reals women what are working these events know a guy might walk by any second and that’s just sorta just how the show comes together

  2. So he sort of gets away with things like that.

  3. You don’t have any sisters or daughters, do you, happyfeet?

    Patterico (bcf524)

  4. but so do a lot of the rest of the crew what are working on the show

  5. The title of CNN’s article was Donald Trump to Howard Stern: It’s okay to call my daughter a ‘piece of ass’ — and that is certainly a relevant and newsworthy topic

In fact, the newsworthy topic is yet another CNN header crafted to be sensationally misleading. It was Stern who said it in the form of a question– and Trump’s response in the conversation was ‘Yep.’

    Still…

  6. @1– in fact, you’re right.
@2/3– So don’t let you kids grow up to be in a beauty pageant. You really can’t apply wholesome ‘family values’ to an eye candy parade. The look is the show. And the contestants know the score– it’s showbiz.

  7. The whiplash has to be pretty tough —

    1. QUICK an article about sexual assault what do we do?

    2. WHO IS IT WHO IS IT

    1. IT WAS TRUMP

    2. OK DEFEND HIM

    1. OH SHIT IT WAS BILL CLINTON

    2. AHHH! ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!

  8. So don’t let you kids grow up to be in a beauty pageant. You really can’t apply wholesome ‘family values’ to an eye candy parade.

And if they also get groped or maybe raped, well, hey — it’s part of the show, baby!

“Sexual assault is cool if it’s Trump!” — random TV show or movie nobody cares about, 19whenever

  9. Trump is one of the girls, too. They probably exchanged tips on how to apply hair spray and concealer and how to keep their tights from sagging.

  10. Maybe Trump will walk over and grab Hillary like that. Hilarity ensues! (several puns intended).

  11. Q: What did the beauty contestant say when Trump reached out and grabbed her puss*?

    A: Such little hands!

  12. it’s hard to see how stuff like this hurts Mr. Trump at all really

    what’s on her feet exactly

LOL So sue him!! There’s a show in that, too– ‘People’s Court.‘Judge Judy’

Because Americans don’t want to be governed. They wish to be entertained.

  14. Among other things, his conversation reflects that…”It’s good to be king.” When even second-tier heavy metal bands have groupies, and when Henry Kissinger–then dating Jill St. John–says power is an aphrodisiac, commenting on the phenomenon is…not quite the thing. You’re supposed to believe something else.

  15. @14 Henry Kissinger–then dating Jill St. John

Trouble is, an electorate of 45 or under likely has no idea about the circumstances surrounding that relationship then– nor even who they are- or were- today.

  16. There’s actually one case where a woman says the sort of thing described by Donald Trump in the video happened to her. It is more or less like this:

    Act I:

George Houraney and girlfriend Jill Harth, who had been together about 13 years, meet with Donald Trump to discuss business in 1993, at a time when he married to Marla Maples and Marla Maples is pregnant. Jill Harth is 30 years old. George Houraney is the (sole?) owner of the business. They run something called American Dream Enterprises that has a “calendar girl” beauty contest, a music competition, an automobile show and other events and they are negotiating to hold them in his Atlantic City casinos.

Donald Trump asks George Houraney, using crude language, if they are intimate (they are not married to each other) Houraney confesses yes. Donald Trump says he is strongly attracted to her, and, in spite of this, he’s going after her.

He tries to kiss her. She excuses herself to go to the bathroom. There may be some dispute as to other things that happened.

As time goes on, and they continue to meet for business, Donald Trump continues to pursue her. One time she even vomits to keep him away. He is never violent, she says, but is assuming interest that isn’t there. While she remains frightened, he is playful. She sees him so much because of the business.

    Act II

George Houraney and Jill Harth hold an event at a Trump casino. Trump praises the event. But then, he cuts off business sometime in 1994, and refuses to pay what they say he already owes.

Trump is sued for breach of contract. In a separate lawsuit Jill Harth sues him for sexual harrassment, which alleged attempted rape.

In the meantime, in 1995, George Houraney and Jill Harth get married.

The National Enquirer reports in 1996 that Donald Trump told a friend that she is the one pursuing him.

In maybe about 1997, both lawsuits get settled at the same time, for about $300,000.

Trump then acts very friendly, and invites them both to a party, and they wonder what’s happened with him.

    Act III

Not long after the party, George Houraney and Jill Harth have a bitter falling out and get divorced. Harth’s brother dies, and she also no longer has her job at Houraney’s company.

Donald Trump calls her up, and begins to console her and offers her a plane ticket to New York to see him. She decides to accept.

They date (and have a relationship apparently) in 1998, when he was already separated from Marla Maples. But all he does is watch television. Then, without asking her in advance, Donald Trump makes an appointment for her with a doctor in Miami to get breast augmentation. She leaves him.

Donald Trump then takes up with another women, about half a dozen years younger than she is, named Melania Knauss.

Epilogue: In the fall of 2015, when a publication wants to write about it, she tells them she was pressured, by some person she refuses to name but presumbably her husband, to file the lawsuit, and it was a tactic to get paid the money they were owed, and she now supports Donald Trump’s candidacy and ”considers him a friend.”

Second Epilogue: In the fall of 2016, she is anti-Trump, and says she was just hopng to get some kind of work from Donald Trump. She apparently works applying make-up.
