AG Lynch To The Public: We Are Editing Out Mateen Referencing His Allegiance To ISIS For Your Own Good

Filed under: General — Dana @ 8:02 am

[guest post by Dana]]

Word from AG Lynch is that we will soon be able to read a partial transcript of the calls between Omar Mateen and law enforcement. The censoring is necessary so that the administration can control the national conversation Americans are having about the Orlando massacre and Mateen’s motivations. Given the president’s post-Orlando politicizing, the selective editing will help propel the strained narrative that it was lenient gun regulations in the U.S. that led to the events in Orlando. As the president lectured, “This massacre is therefore a further reminder of how easy it is for someone that lets them shoot people in a school, or in a house of worship, or in a movie theater or a night club. And we have to decide if that’s the kind of country that we want to be. To actively do nothing is a decision as well”.

LORETTA LYNCH: What we’re announcing tomorrow is that the FBI is releasing a partial transcript of the killer’s calls with law enforcement, from inside the club. These are the calls with the Orlando PD negotiating team, who he was, where he was… that will be coming out tomorrow and I’ll be headed to Orlando on Tuesday.

CHUCK TODD: Including the hostage negotiation part of this?

LYNCH: Yes, it will be primarily a partial transcript of his calls with the hostage negotiators.

CHUCK TODD: You say partial, what’s being left out?

LYNCH: What we’re not going to do is further proclaim this man’s pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda.

CHUCK TODD: We’re not going to hear him talk about those things?

LYNCH: We will hear him talk about some of those things, but we are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance and that. It will not be audio, it will be a printed transcript. But it will begin to capture the back and forth between him and the negotiators, we’re trying to get as much information about this investigation out as possible. As you know, because the killer is dead, we have a bit more leeway there and we will be producing that information tomorrow.

  6. Thing is, as was said in “Paved With Good Intentions” some years ago, you can’t keep this stuff entirely quiet. It gets out. And it blows up and looks even worse. So, not only do we have the bad guy, the people who are supposed to be taking care of business out themselves as complicit. They didn’t have to do that. But they did.

  7. I think there is good reason to deny publicity for the “crazies”,
but the Arabic and jihadist sympathizer websites will be full of this anyway,
and it is simply another act in controlling the narrative.

How about this as a “do something”,
every mass shooting except one has been in a no gun zone,
so lets get rid of them.

  8. They want to get out the reasons (his threats of explosives or having claims of other people there) so that people will excuse them for letting people bleed to death on the floor, which logically must have happened. But they will keep out pledges of allegiance to ISIS, and perhaps, his ’causes” because somehow it has become established policy not to give further circulation to murderer’s statements.

    Sammy Finkelman (7a22e4)

  9. To get out some of the reasons for not going in and letting people bleed to death on the floor.

Because the delay in getting medical attention made a difference in some cases. (not everybody was left there. One person was dragged out by a policeman over broken glass. Apparently in a way so as to get attention)

We had 2 people found dead inside, and 38 inside, plus 9 who died in the hospital. the hospital(s) had two surges of patients – one at 2 am, when it happened, and one at around 5 am, after the sige ended – and even when it ended they were careful because he’d said he had other people with him. I think he actually claimed he had people outside.

  11. 7.I think there is good reason to deny publicity for the “crazies”,

So if some guy was going around murdering nurses you would keep that a secret? How about a guy who targets cops? The reason behind the act is as important to understand as the weapon used or the location selected. Unless of course it’s because he’s a murdering moslem then it’s very PC to deny the influence. Hooey!

  12. Well, at least the administration is being consistent about the issue of public pledges to ISIS.
They like to keep Barack’s pledge of allegiance to ISIS on the DL, too. (LOL)

  13. …Sources close to investigation confirm that the motivation for the attack committed by Muhammad Farah, Muhammad ibn Rashad, Muhammad al Rahim, and Hassan Muhammad remains entirely unclear.

“It’s a complete f***ing mystery to me,” said DHS director Jeh Johnson. “I have no idea what possible connection these Muhammads could have had to one another.”

  15. I struggle with Trump. Much of the time, he disgusts me, but not all the time. There are plenty of instances where I’m impressed by his honesty and directness. And although he is notorious for his overstatements, sometimes he gets it just right. For example: “There is something going on.”

This statement comes in striking contrast to so much of what Trump says. Why the understatement? He could have just come out and say Obama is anti-American leftist, supports our enemies, or is a closeted Islamist. Better yet, all of the above. But he holds back.

By holding back, he can’t be summarily dismissed by the media and his opponents. Instead, he creates a drawn out kabuki around the comment and the underlying issue. It also allows each and every one of us, including those on the left who are uncomfortable with Obama’s implicit support of Islam and Sharia, to buy in based on our individual perceptions and concerns. It has a wonderful Find Waldo quality to it that keeps the issue front and center in my thoughts: “What is going on?” It’s brilliant and it is fueling the debate in a way that the left and their surrogates can’t control.

And now we get to tie in the words and actions of others in his administration, case in point, Ms. Lynch. What’s going on with her remarkable decision to hide the words and motivation of the perpetrator of such a repugnant event? Why didn’t she hide the words and motives of the repulsive Dylan Root? Clearly, there’s something going on.

  18. LOCAL SOMALI RELIGIOUS LEADERS SAY POPULATION TOO DIVERSE, IMPOSSIBLE TO SAY WHY YOUNG MEN FLOCK TO AL SHABAAB

“We are a community of free thinkers,” one Imam who declined to be named told the LA Times staff reporter. “Some of us think adulterers and gays should be stoned to death, others thrown off buildings, others think they should have their necks stretched by dropping them from cranes. Inshallah, to each his own method of execution. This diversity of opinion is a source of great joy and laughter at our iftar feasts this Ramadan.”

Similarly, all of the prayer leaders were at a complete loss to explain why the Somali youths kept answering the call to jihad they delivered every Friday.

“It’s just f***in’ racist to assume Muslims are monolithic,” said Muhammad bin Jihad, as he hurriedly put the finishing touches on his Friday sermon on the eternal reward for Allah has in store for the knifing of the Joooooz.

While noting it is indeed racist to accuse Muslims of being monolithic, we the editors of the LA Times join with all Muslims everywhere along with CNN and MSNBC in condemning the potential backlash following next week’s shooting at a Chik-Fil-A …

    Steve57 (ecac13)

  19. Is Loretta Lynch insane? Is she on drugs? Her decision making ability seems to be impaired.

Loretta Lynch, like Susan Rice before her, is marching to the drumbeat of Barack Obama’s obsession with protecting Islamic terrorism from being openly acknowledged for the viscous bloodthirsty death cult it so obviously is. Why he does it is also obvious -> he’s not one of us, he’s one of them.

The point is that some people want the fame and notoriety that comes with being a mass murderer,
so if you deny publicity as much as possible, such as not naming the culprit, there is less motivation for the next one.
That is very different than a serial killer whose potential victims need to be warned,
or a mass murderer motivated by a particular ideology or reason that others will also use, whether “advertised” or not.

These lefties pursued every second of the Nixon tapes, over 40 years ago. Because they wanted to get to the bottom of what happened and what his motivations were.

Did I tell you how I think the House Judiciary Committee, and in particular, Hillary Rodham, faked some of the dialogue in the tapes?

A real measure of Hillary’s importance within the Doar inner circle came sometime that spring when she went off to visit Bill in Arkansas.

Laughing about it later, she described the deference accorded her – not for her work on the impeachment committee, but because she was the candidate’s “girlfriend.” But it was nothing like the deference she was shown by John Doar, when, upon some new development in the case – memories are unclear as to the precise event – but it had something to do with the subpoena of more Nixon tapes – he summoned Hillary back to Washington. Immediately. He would arrange special transportation he told her, even send a plane.

    – Hillary Rodham Clinton: A First Lady for Our Time by Donnie Radcliffe (Warner Books, 1993) page 128.

When Donnie Radcliffe says “memories are unclear” that means that she was told different stories by different people. Somehow, nobody can remember what it was that caused Hillary to be summoned back to Washington. But we do know one thing. All versions agree that it had something to
    do with the Nixon tapes.

They say the SUBPEONA of the tapes, but I suspect it had to do with the tracsripts of the tapes. Elsewhere, Hillary has described listening to the tapes.

I was kind of locked in this soundproof room with these big headphones on, listening to a tape. It was Nixon taping himself listening to the tapes [you see when Nixon listened to it, he didn’t use earphones -SF] making
up his defenses to what he heard on the tapes. So you would hear Nixon talk and then you would hear very faintly the sound of a tapes prior conversation with Nixon, Haldeman and Ehrlichman. . .And you would hear him say “What I meant when I said that, was. . .” I mean it was surreal, unbelieveable, but it was a real positive experience because the system worked. It was done in a very professional, careful way.

    – Hillary Rodham Clinton as quoted in an interview she gave to the Arkansas Gazette in 1990.

Now nobody who wasn’t supposed to be making a transcript was supposed to access to them, and Hillary Rodham was not on the list.

I suspect she was called back because everybody else was off, and now there was the oppportunity for her to put some words in Nixon’s mouth. She was one of the few people whom John Doar could trust to do that.

what candidate, he was a junior staffer on mcgovern’s campaign in 72,

Bill Clinton ran George McGovern’s campaign in Texas, along with Hillary Rodham and Taylor Branch. Arkansas was already too small for him. I think he may have been connected enough to have had advance knowledge of the Watergate break-in. *

This story with John Doar is from 1974. In 1974, Bill Clinton was running for Congress in Arkansas on the Watergate issue. That year, Hillary Rodham told Bernard Nussbaum that Bill Clinton would one day be elected president, and when he was, they wanted him to the White House counsel. (that was actually a cover, because the person who would really know things, was the deputy White house counsel. Bill Clinton had a propensity for doing this sort of thing. Sandy (Burglar) Berger, for a long time, was the deputy national security advisor.

Anyway, they had wanted to hire Bill Clinton, but he begged off, saying he was going to run for Congress, and recommended Hillary Rodham instead, so they hired her. Bill Clinton was a pretty important person already. He had lots of contacts. He actually created the House Democratic freshman caucus that put an end to the Vietnam War in 1975 by cutting off aid – except that he didn’t get elected himself! He was going to be the leader there. Bill Clinton’s plans failed several times: In 1974, in 1980, in 1987 (I think he found there was no way to become president if Al Gore was also in the race and that’s why he didn’t run) and in 2008.

but we must bear the guilt of nixon, because he got caught,

    Nixon had poor character.

    * The spy that the Robert F. Bennett (the son of Senator Wallace Bennett, later Senator himself from Utah, until defeated by the Tea Party) had placed in McGovern headquarters kept on finding all sorts of difficulties in placing a bug. I think he was turned. Finally Liddy was going to have the bug placed in there some other way, but first he was told by John Dean to bug the DNC. I think Democrats knew all about this. The spy quot the day the big was supposed to be placed. real plan among some corrupt people may have been to make Spiro Agnew president.

By the way, I think Hillary Rodham was the deputy campauign manager for Jimmy Carter in Indiana in 1976. But Ford carried that state, which tended to usually vote Republican.

  61. Off topic, but this is maybe the most relevant thread.

The other day, the opposition Labor Party head in Israel secretly negotiated an agreement in pricniple with Mohammad Abbas of the Palestinian Authority (also known aa Abu Mazen). It would hand over most of East Jerusalem, but keep the wall, and seemingly do everything the European Union claims should be done.

His paymasters I guess in Saudi Arabia must have told him to make clear that no agreement is
    possible.

He accused Israel of committing mass murder. Of course anyone who follows this should know the argument against Israel is not about territory but that Israel is suppposedly killing people.
