Law Enforcement: We Haven’t Cleared Hillary, So Why Did Obama?
WASHINGTON — Federal agents were still cataloging the classified information from Hillary Rodham Clinton’s personal email server last week when President Obama went on television and played down the matter.
“I don’t think it posed a national security problem,” Mr. Obama said Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes.” He said it was a mistake for Mrs. Clinton to use a private email account when she was secretary of state, but his conclusion was unmistakable: “This is not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.”
Those statements angered F.B.I. agents who have been working for months to determine whether Ms. Clinton’s email setup had in fact put any of the nation’s secrets at risk, according to current and former law enforcement officials.
Investigators have not reached any conclusions about whether the information on the server had been compromised or whether to recommend charges, according to the law enforcement officials. But to investigators, it sounded as if Mr. Obama had already decided the answers to their questions and cleared anyone involved of wrongdoing.
It’s hard to believe, I’m sure, but there are actually dedicated law enforcement professionals who take their jobs seriously who work on cases like this.
It’s just that they don’t get the final call. And the final call, it’s clear, has already been made.
I don’t know about that. I’m interested in whether Joe Biden declares he’s running or not. After Clinton’s “sewing up the nomination” this week with her “strong” debate performance againster the 3 Stooges, if Biden joins the fray he fills the gap if charges are filed against Clinton. Democrat Party Uber Alles and all that. If I was Clinton i’d be very worried if he does. Revenge is best served cold.

felipe (56556d) — 10/16/2015 @ 8:14 amThe Obama team doesn’t enter the race until it has disqualified the competition. If they’re behind the Biden push then stay tuned and don’t be distracted by the daily chatter. Like Obama, Biden can’t win on his own. The competition has to collapse and walk away.

Generals and diplomats are little people though, as are their staff.
Gabriel Hanna (64d4e1) — 10/16/2015 @ 8:22 amI find it weird that people think that Obama would sabotage Hillary!’s campaign. Obama is desperate to have a Democrat succeed him in the Oval Office because (1) that helps protect Obamacare and other parts of his “legacy” and (2) that puts him on par with Reagan as a two-term President who managed to be succeeded by a member of his own party. The only way he’s going to stab her in the back is if he knows Biden is getting into the race and he has polling data to suggest that Biden will be at least as competitive as she would in the general election.
JVW (ba78f9) — 10/16/2015 @ 8:45 amWhat Gabriel said above.
We know there was no compromise of classified with the Patraeus situation, but he was charged anyway because he hadn’t handled classified info properly. What he did was chicken-feed
Bill M (906260) — 10/16/2015 @ 8:54 amcompared to Hillary’s compromise and mishandling. SCI material on a non-secured server; SCI material in her lawyer’s office? Come on. When I handled SCI years ago, it had to be stored in a SCIF (I’m using acronyms, sorry). I remember one mission where there wasn’t a facility available and we had to run shifts overnight with a cleared person guarding the material until we flew out the next morning. And she had it on an unsecured server in her basement! There simply isn’t any doubt that her violations (multiple, serious, criminal violations) are way more serious. It is immaterial whether her server was hacked or not. The bare fact that it was mishandled in the first place is a serious violation.
Thank you, Bill M. As usual the left and their willing accomplices in the press obfuscate the seriousness of Hillary’s! negligence. It doesn’t matter if it was hacked, that’s a separate crime. The fact it was on a non government non secure server in non secure locations handled by persons not of the security level required is the crime. At any other time in American history this would be called sedition. Even under dems it was called incompetent. Now these anti American leftist pigs shrug their shoulders and pass a gun law or two.

I keep hearing this nonsense. Pardons DO NOT protect Obama, they endanger him. A pardoned person MUST testify, and testify truthfully. There is no 5th Amendment opportunity after a pardon. And if he pardons everyone, then there is no one left to take the fall but himself.

And hide the crimes she’s committed
You appear on our TV screens
You always tell us lies
You say, “It’s all good!” “I lead…”
But you don’t mean it

You’d rather see us paralyzed
Why don’t you just come out once
And scream it
No, we do not feel that good
When we see the heartbreaks you’ve inspired
If you’d been a working man
Perhaps you’d see that
And we know you’re dissatisfied
With your position and your place

Colonel Haiku (0f4bb0) — 10/16/2015 @ 10:30 amKevinM, the word truthfulness is not even in her vocabulary. She could simply fall on her sword and say it was all her and then walk away if given a pardon. Which also protects Huma and Bill as well. But if she weren’t pardoned, she might just roll over on him and his cronies. As long as the investigation ends with her, then a pardon protects him.
Rorschach (6fc5f7) — 10/16/2015 @ 10:32 amNo matter what the FBI finds, it will up to the Justice Department to prosecute or not. Does anyone really think Obama’s hand picked AG Loretta Lynch will indict Hillary and knock the first woman with a real shot at winning the presidency out of contention?

That’s why there will be no indictment, until after President Trump takes office.
papertiger (c2d6da) — 10/16/2015 @ 11:25 amThere are also dedicated professionals in the intelligence community
who take their jobs seriously, especially the aspect of their jobs related to safeguarding the kind of classified Hillary! recklessly jeopardized. Some of them are working this very case, reviewing Hillary!’s emails and finding classified information. Information that was classified at the time, despite what Obama’s spokesweasels, court toadies, and throne sniffers have to say.
They’re the little people who the law applies to. They’ve seen this administration prosecute or at the very least ruin the careers of people who have done far, far less then the damage Hillary! has done. In fact, Hillary! has personally fired some of them for doing a fraction of what she was doing at the time, much like Client no. 9 was prosecuting johns for engaging prostitutes while AG of New York at the very time he was evading banking laws in order to transfer tens of thousands of dollars offshore to hide payments to the madame of his favorite brothel.
Some of them also recall Hillary! lecturing the entire State Dept. (which would include intel analysts and security officer’s at State’s INR) not to use personal email. Which now looks like a sick joke.
They know, therefore, that Hillary! has committed major felonies. And while Obama thinks he can have his “two Americas,” one where the peons have to comply with the law and his imperial edicts, the other where he and his fellow aristocrats are above any law, he’s going to have a lot of trouble from his foot soldiers. Does he really expect the foot soldiers who are under the yoke of his arbitrary enforcement of laws help him make his “two Americas” legal/supra-legal system work?
It’s related that dozens of CENTCOM intelligence analysts went to IG to complain that the political appointees were forcing them to doctor the intel. And by political appointees I also mean the Generals who never would have made that rank but for being willing Obama sycophants.
This kind of mutiny is highly unusual. In fact, I think it’s unprecedented. The closest thing I can think of is the “mutiny of the admirals” back in the late 1940s. These IC members aren’t at that level of seniority (although some senior civilian analysts may be flag rank equivalent) but to have dozens, I hear up to 50, report this sort of wrongdoing and manipulation by a single command portends lots of problems for the Obama administration.
When you read 18 U.S. Code § 793(f) it seems to be written with Hillary! in mind. If you didn’t know the sequence of events you could be forgiven for concluding that Congress wrote the law after the fact because nobody could conceive of the fact that a Secretary of State would be so reckless, traitorous, blindly ambitious, selfish, and self-absorbed to behave this way. And they merely described what Hillary! did while SecState and made it a crime. But, presciently, Congress and some President criminalized her exact behavior years ago.
It’s dangerous to make predictions but I think the CENTCOM revolt may well spread if they let Hillary! off the hook while continuing to crucify the very people they need to make whatever system Obama is trying to impose function.

Because his neck is on the line right beside hers. He’s every bit as guilty of turning his back on brave Americans under attack in Benghazi as she is, even more so, he’s CinC and he gave the ‘stand-down’ order that stopped rescue operations.
The political class is trying (and succeeding) in spinning the issue into a dispute over access to Hillary’s emails, which while certainly worthy of investigation purposely misses the point. It’s not the emails, it’s the gun running operation in Benghazi which collected Gaddifi’s weapons and transported them to Syrian forces fighting against Bashar al-Assad. Those weapons spawned ISIS, that’s the dirty truth behind the lies, the cover-up, the stonewalling, the witness intimidation, and Obama’s phony ‘red-line.’ It’s also behind his rebel absurd training program, his mockery of an air campaign, and all the other anemic dog and pony shows.
Obama tried to give Hillary cover because by doing so he can hide behind her big fat lying ass.

I agree Obama is desperate but not solely for a Democratic successor. It has to be the right kind of Democratic successor, which is why he wanted Warren to run. Biden is a Warren alternative, someone Obama thinks he can control or at least deal with.
On the other hand, I think Obama and his inner circle view Hillary as a poor alternative and someone they could not control or deal with. The Obamas and Clintons reportedly loathe each other and have since the 2008 campaign. More importantly, they don’t trust each other.
I believe Obama would gladly sabotage Hillary’s campaign because he wants to protect his legacy and he knows she will undo anything she thinks will help her and take credit for the rest of Obama’s programs. In other words, he knows she doesn’t care about his legacy and may undermine it. She could also use her position as President to hurt him and his loyalists in a way that Republicans can’t.
