Fox News Channel Announces Next GOP Debate Moderators

Filed under: General — Dana @ 6:26 am

[guest post by Dana]

Fox News Channel announced that Bret Baier, Chris Wallace and Megyn Kelly will be returning to moderate the next Fox News debate to be held in January before the Iowa caucuses.

No word yet if there will be two separate debates. A Fox rep stated:

“As Fox demonstrated last week, our goal with these debates is to be as inclusive as possible.”

No comment from the Trump. Yet.

However, January is a long way off and there is simply no telling who will still be in the race at that time.

Here is a sampling of where things stand:

  1. Hello.

    Dana (86e864)

  2. January is a very long time away.

The next debate will be interesting. It will be at the Reagan Library on Sept 16. I will be in London and don’t plan to watch. I watched only a few minutes of the first one. Long enough to be disappointed in the Fox “moderators.”

  3. That poll is as reliable as a Ouija board.

The nk who trusts cnn almost as much as Hillary (dbc370)

  4. Greetings:

So, in the interim , let’s all hope that Ms. Kelly doesn’t become a casualty in the “WAR on WOMEN” which she so astutely and professionally, uncovered journalistically.

I only have a normal citizen’s understanding of these matters, but, what occurs to me, is that the “debaters” should be prepared to challenge certain kinds of questions before answering and then use their answers to attack the various perfidies of President Obama and his apparatchik, the thankfully unemployed Ms. Clinton instead of going after the other candidates so much.

  5. I don’t believe a word of the CNN/ORC polls. They’ve been outliers all year.

    Rasmussen has it:

    Trump 17
    Bush 10
    Walker 9
    Rubio 10
    Fiorina 9
    Carson 8
    Cruz 7
    Huckabee 3
    Paul 4
    Christie 4
    Kasich 4
    Perry 1
    Santorum 1
    Jindal 1
    Graham 1

  6. But in either poll, look at the sum total for the establishment candidates. It’s pretty terrible. Even discounting Trmup (who cannot be discounted enough, sell-by dates and all).

  7. I know I will be way to busy to waste my time with FOX NEWS.

  8. Trump should demand Kelly be barred from the show. He will prevail. Because…ratings.

  9. With the establishment GOP contamination that will be on stage, I will opt out.
Give me Cruz and Walker chatting in front of a fracking site in North Dakota.

    mg (31009b)

  10. Cruz and Walker should do private debates.

    mg (31009b)

  11. They should find moderators and participants that agree to smoke throughout the debates.

  13. oh good good it looks like cheap hack Megyn the cable news cleavage bimbo will get to periodically refresh her war on women memes

  14. Perry, Santorum and Huckabee should bow out. They have tried before and their numbers this time around are terrible. They should have their main supporters in their percentages, and if it’s that low, after previous years, it isn’t going anywhere. Let others fight for those few percentage points.

  15. if I was Trump and still doing well in the polls I would refuse to participate in any debate with any of those moderators … they where horrible as moderators … the MODERATORS spoke for over 30% of the debate … every moderator got more time than any candidate including Trump …

Tell them its simple, they all stepped over the line with their interview questions and refused to ask debate questions … get professionals in there … i.e. your fired …

  16. Kaiser, the moderators asked Trump valid, important questions. That he can’t answer the questions is his problem.

Disclosure, my position is F Trump. YMMV
