At Least She Didn’t Shut Down Two Runways At A Busy International Airport, Right?

It’s a funny how some things never change with those champions of the common man.

Proving the point: Hillary Clinton took a break from her busy schedule of railing against income inequality and pointing out that “democracy can’t just be for billionaires and corporations” when she and her entourage were seen being escorted through a private entrance at the ultra-chic Fifth Avenue landmark, Bergdorf Goodman. Part of the store was put on lockdown so that Hillary would be safe from prying eyes as she was led up to the John Barrett Salon.

Clinton’s stylist, John Barrett, charges $600 for a cut and blow-dry. Hair color, which Clinton admits to, can cost an extra $600.

It reminds me of this from Hillary last year:

“The dream of upward mobility that made this country a model for the world feels further and further out of reach and many Americans understandably feel frustrated, even angry.

It’s good to see at least Hillary living the dream, even if her female Senate staffers and campaign fellows haven’t been as fortunate.

Anyway, Hillary had to rush out of Bergdorf Goodman because she had to pack for her vacation in the Hamptons. *As she passed a small crowd held back by security, she gave a nod to the little people. Lowering herself into the parked limo, she could be heard muttering to Huma Abedin, let them eat cake.

*This probably didn’t happen…

  1. Hello.

  4. no she’s bought and paid for several times over Mr. mg, bill’s wife

i think she likes to spend a lot of money on her hair and stuff cause of how it helps her not feel so much like the cheap pickle she is

  5. After reading this, I’m stunned! She truly is the champion of such scoundrels as Perry.

It’s telling that the campaign dropped this on a Friday afternoon. By the time this hit, most people had turned off the news and tuned out for the weekend. The Clintons probably hoped to avoid answering questions about how they managed to earn $57.5 million in the four years that Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, an astonishing and breathtaking sum. Given what we know about deals like Uranium One, the question of how may be more rhetorical, even if the sums stagger the imagination.

Just how does one manage to pull in 57.5 million as SecState? Is there really that much “speaking” time or is this paid for favors? You be the judge as these pigs sell our heritage down the sewer.

  7. Hey, it isn’t cheap gutting a stylist who is a good enough actor to tell Mrs. Clinton she looks like something other than a rabid badger with hemorrhoids and sound like he means it….

  10. well, she said “let them eat . . ” something.

She should be investigated and indicted just for her arrogance.Anytime someone’s
that arrogant, they’re usually found to be a crook of some kind or other.

Take a look at history you’ll see the largest crook’s and miscreants have egos
as big a house. Which is why Trump needs a good investigation too.

But arrogance and ego isn’t necessarily indicated by how loud they talk and how
    much bullshit they spread.

Just take a look at Jeb or Rubio.

  11. Hillary’s statement about the release of her financial records is not to be missed.

  12. Impressive financial jacket bill’s wife has accumulated.

  13. If an old, grandma millionaire decides to use her privilege to disrupt a few other grandma’s stylings in New York City for a new hairdo, what’s the problem?

My mom does this all the time. Except, she’s a shade past 80, has no privilege, doesn’t cause any disruption at her parlor, doesn’t have $600 for the styling and she is not expecting to be the next leader of the free world.

She probably would be a better President than Hillary or Obama. Because she has no privilege, doesn’t cause any disruption at her parlor, doesn’t have $600 for the styling and she is not expecting to be the next leader of the free world. She’s also smart.

  14. I can’t figure out why even liberals have a soft spot in their heart for Hillary.

Even if I admired her ideology or politics but she were no less sleazy, greedy, mendacious and phony as she is, I’d still back far, far away from her.

Sort of a Republican counterpart to her is Jeb Bush, and even though he isn’t a fraction as bad as she is (although he’s too squishy for my tastes), I still feel sort of the same way about him as I feel about Hillary.

  15. Back in 1992, despite my political differences with Hillary Clinton, I respected her as a feminist icon, a woman who rose to prominence entirely on her own merit, and who could serve as a role model for girls with ambitions to make someting of themselves.

Then I learned that she was such a traditional wife that she did her husband’s laundry. Not a feminist at all. (Shirts, underwear, bribes, it’s the same principle.)

  16. Given that we already have the author line, Filed under: General — Dana @ 10:04 am, immediately below the article title, why do we need the apparently obligatory [guest post by Dana] added? The much better-looking Dana, and JVW (or is it JWV, I never can remember) are now so much apart of Patterico’s Pontifications, I don’t see them as guest posters at all, but simply normal article contributors.

  17. Mark asked:

I can’t figure out why even liberals have a soft spot in their heart for Hillary.

She’s a female and she supports abortion. That’s all that’s required.

    The obious Dana (1b79fa)

  18. She’s not Bush.

  19. I respected her as a feminist icon, a woman who rose to prominence entirely on her own merit, and who could serve as a role model for girls with ambitions to make someting of themselves.

See, I always wonder why people buy into this idea that Hillary “rose to prominence entirely on her own merit.” Granted, her academic achievements at Wellesley and Yale Law speak for themselves, but don’t you think the senior partners in the Rose Law Firm probably liked having the wife of the hotshot rising young politican on their staff? If she had been just Hillary! Rodham from Illinois by way of Washington would they have given her a second look? And even if we are trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, has she ever struck anyone as a good enough politician to been elected to much of anything without riding on the political machine that was centered around her husband?

    JVW (30a532)

  20. Hillary! rose to prominence on the coat tails of the partners of Rose Law firm and then of those of her idiot husband. So you are correct. She is the perfect liberal feminist icon. Not one personal accomplishment on her resume, just a bunch of feminist posturing. If you need a role model for “girls with ambitions to make something of themselves” then look no further than your own mother. Whoring for leftists political causes is not making something of oneself. Building a family, taking care of and educating your kids in academics, morality, ethics and civics is. We need more mother who do that and a lot fewer Hillary’s!.

  27. JVW, that was precisely my point. When it became clear that her chief role at the Rose Law Firm was doing her husband’s laundry, I lost what respect I originally had for her.
